Part of the reason that they have been able to hold an undefeated record to this point is how well they have been able to force teams into rushed possessions and turnovers. In both rounds one and two he led his team in scoring averaging eighteen points per contest.
Green Level Senior Guard Tyler Coffee: His shot was not falling in the first half but he stayed aggressive and managed to get going as the game went on. We loved the fact that he didn’t allow his early struggles to impact the way he played and that he competes hard on both ends of the floor.
Apex HS Junior Guard Jack McCurdy Jack McCurdy 6'0" | SG Cardinal Gibbons | 2023 State NC : Was a huge part of why his squad was able to make a comeback in the second and third quarter. He was on fire from three point land in the third quarter and was not hesitant about being aggressive after his team forced some turnovers. He finished their first round matchup with seventeen points, with fourteen of his seventeen coming in the second and third quarters.
SE Raleigh Junior Guard Immanuel McClain: One of the best on ball defenders at the event, he applied pressure without fouling, making things difficult for opponents. He has good lateral quickness, quick hands and doesn’t mind sacrificing his body to take the charge.
Overhills HS Senior Wing Ayden Gittens: A player that has all the tools to be a good prospect if he stays locked in and aggressive consistently. He has the height, wingspan and athleticism of a college wing and has enough upside to be worthy of a college look if he can stay focused.
Lee County Sophomore Guard Dawson Buchanan: With his teammate catching fire early on , he played the role of the second offensive option but was solid on the day. He knocked down some outside shots, got after it on the defensive end and shot a nice overall percentage in their first round matchup.
