These articles will include the high school teams in each section and the top players for this upcoming season. Also, a variety of other information will be made available such as Varsity newcomers, transfers, high-level college recruits, game-changers, impact performers, role players, quality incoming freshmen, other notables, etc. In our opinion, this will definitely develop into one of the most competitive high school hoop seasons in an extremely long time. - An extremely talented complete player that can score in a variety of ways during a game
- He can create mismatches in half-court offensive sets
Dolan Waldo / 6’7 / senior / power forward / Bethel Park High School
- A big, strong post player who plays physical and enjoys contact in the paint
- His tenacity is shown with his ability to block shots while getting after offensive and defensive rebounds
Aidan Besselman Aidan Besselman 6'0" | SG Upper St. Clair | 2023 State PA / 6’3 / junior / wing forward / Upper St. Clair High School
- This top performer brings the football mentality to the court and never backs down from a challenge
- The toughness and all-out aggressiveness displayed by this young man creates problems for the opponent
Brendan McCullough / 6’0 / junior / shooting guard / Peters Township High School
- He has at times unlimited range and has the confidence to shoot it from all over the perimeter
- His high basketball IQ definitely helps him lead his teammates throughout four quarters of competition
Jake Samosky / 6’1 / shooting guard / Canon-McMillan High School
- An above-average defender who causes havoc on the defensive end of the floor
- His ability to shoot the ball from a variety of spots makes him difficult to guard
Evan LaVelle / 6’4 / power forward / Baldwin High School
- On the glass is where this young man does most of the damage with the mindset to lead by example
- He has developed a strong mid-range game to compliment his post presence
Michael Pfeuffer Michael Pfeuffer 6'2" | CG Mt. Lebanon | 2023 State PA / 6’0 / junior / shooting guard / Mt. Lebanon High School
- The shooting ability of this player causes opponents to fight through screens and try to double him on the perimeter
- A knowledgable young hooper that can be like another coach on the court
Pat McDonnell / 6’2 / senior / wing forward / Peters Township High School
- He steps into a senior leadership role that he will not relinquish and welcomes the challenge for his teammates
- An overall balanced player that brings a multitude of good things to the hardwood each game
