The wild west shootout is Northern Nevada’s premier basketball tournament that serves as a fundraiser for the Sierra kids foundation. The Sierra kids foundation provides educational scholarships to children and youth with developmental disabilities in Northern Nevada, specifically kids with autism spectrum disorder. The Sierra kids foundation helps families who are under insured, low-income, unemployed or of low socioeconomic status pay for ABA therapy for their child who may not be able to afford a treatment program otherwise.  The tournament featured high school teams from Northern California, Las Vegas, and Reno, with the Championship being taken home by Prephoops Nevada #1 Ranked 5A Bishop Gorman. Here’s a look at my superlatives from the tournament, featuring the players with the best skills from the camp.
