Does a nice job of defending without fouling, while blocking/contesting a nice amount of shots. Still is very raw skillset wise but for a small college that may be looking for a 6’5 project, he may be worth a glance.
Laney HS Junior F/C Joel Bachman: A big man with raw talent, he excelled in their first round matchup simply off of taking advantage of his height. He’s about 6’7, so rebounding and blocking shots comes pretty natural for him. The next step for him will be to develop a post game as well as getting into top shape to be able to run the floor better throughout.
West Bladen Freshman Center Chase Williams: A young prospect that is still finding his way on the court, Williams is one that we will be keeping a very close eye on over the next year to see how he progresses. He’s about 6’6 with decent hands and we liked the fact that he didn’t seemed to get sped up and wasn’t forced into anything. The next step for him will be to transform his physique which is something that will come with time but overall we like his potential very much.
Pinecrest Sophomore Wing Jullien Cole: During their first round matchup with WHS he came off the bench and provided nice production on both ends of the court. He has all the tools to be a special prospect and we saw some flashes of that with his ability to play the passing lanes as well as slashing to the basket for buckets on offense.
West Bladen Sophomore Malachi Allen: Stepped in and provided some much needed scoring from the wing spot, knocking down several perimeter shots. He has good height/wingspan for a shooting guard, and will only get better if he puts in the time and work.
