Will Davis (2024) Fairland
Going into this game I was most intrigued to see Aiden Porter Aiden Porter 6'1" | PG Fairland | 2022 State OH vs Trent Hundley Trent Hundley 6'5" | SF Eastern Brown | 2022 State OH . While Porter performed for the Dragons, it was Davis who I came away the most impressed with. The sophomore played hard during the game I watched and proved to be a secondary scoring option behind Porter for the Dragons. Very collected on the perimeter and plays quite calm for a sophomore.
Chase Ouelette (2022) Wellington School
Ouelette was impressive for the Jaguars in their game against Caldwell. The 6-foot-6 stretch 4 served as the primary ball-handler for Wellington even though he will play off-ball at the next level. Ouelette has a lethal first step and has good quickness for a guy his size. Found success in the midrange even against contested shots. Overall can out the ball in the basket and does it consistently.
Logan Eilerman (2023) Fort Loramie
Eilerman doesn’t jump off the page with athleticism or scoring potential. What he does do however is provide the intangibles for the Redskins. Eilerman is an incredibly tough player to defend and box out as he has a strong frame and a competitive mind. Contested 2nd chance opportunities for Loramie and opened the door for alternative shot options against a smaller Anna team. Made a few key hustle plays in this SCAL matchup. Only a junior, Eilerman reminds me of past Loramie guys that had the intensity and toughness as a junior and could be a dangerous player if he adds to his arsenal by next season.
Colin White Colin White 6'5" | SG Ottawa Glandorf | 2024 State #156 Nation OH (2024) Ottawa-Glandorf
White is probably the best Ohio prospect on this list as he took over in the Titans win over Wapakoneta. White is loaded with athleticism and bounce, a combination not commonly seen in NW Ohio. His intangibles are there and he plays the right way. Unselfish often but can be the go-to scorer when needed. Blew by defenders on the perimeter and was a mismatch with his skill and size. Already attracting D1 and D2 colleges and he’s only a sophomore.
Layne Sarver Layne Sarver 6'4" | SF Tri-Village | 2022 State OH (2022) Tri-Village
Sarver’s ability to score the basketball is a big reason why his Tri-Village team beat a higher division Meadowdale squad on Sunday. Sarver put the ball in the basket in various ways. Pullup jumpers off dribble drive, through or around traffic on the block, perimeter shooting, you name it and he did it. Sarver was impressive to me with his leaping abilities and constant defense at the rim. Possesses the skill and length to constantly be a threat at the rim. Already received some D2 offers and likely will be playing at this level next season.
Yann Ferrell (2022) Keystone Academy (PA)
Ferrell is committed to UConn, but is worth mentioning in this piece as he is definitely the best overall prospect on this list. The 6-foot-7 Wing is very skilled at all aspects. Utilized his size to get shots over the Flyght Prep defense. Ferrell has long arms that he disrupts passing lanes and secures rebounds with, along with an explosive offensive game that forces defenses to double down on stopping him downhill. Ferrell was impactful in his team’s win over Flyght Prep and forced their defense to account for him at all times.
