Antone Allen Antone Allen 6'4" | SF Dunbar | 2023 State OH (2023) Dunbar
Allen has a lot of speed and quickness that he utilized. Solid perimeter defender and showed potential defending either guard positions. Definitely an active defender and has long arms to disrupt passing lanes. Decent offensive arsenal even though the Wolverines struggled against New Albany in the livestream I watched. As he adds more to his offensive game, could turn into a prospect D3s want to keep an eye on.
Joshua Evans Joshua Evans 6'4" | SF New Albany | 2022 State OH (2022) New Albany
Evans has continued to be one of the better under-the-radar prospects in Ohio since the Summer. Evans really gets after it on both ends of the floor. Finished around the rim and through contact. Contested shots on the defensive end and showed he could consistently be a threat as a rim protector. One of the higher motors I’ve seen even on film. Evans should continue to grow and as a result could be a solid prospect to watch in Central Ohio.
D’Juan Waller (2023) Chaney
Waller impressed me in a matchup with Reynoldsburg at the All-Ohio Showcase. The 6-foot-5 junior has really good athleticism and a good vertical leap. Moved well with the ball on the defensive end and showed he could defend smaller wings and even some 2Gs. Looked to post up and use his body on the block but struggled keeping control of the ball. Still a very intriguing prospect.
Jackson McGohan (2023) Miamisburg
McGohan continues to find spots on my recaps with his play. While he was slowed down a bit against Carroll and their slower pace he showed intensity defending Carroll’s Sean McKitrick. Wasn’t able to slash as much as he’s used to but got a few early buckets on the Patriots. Continues to be one of Dayton’s better performers.
