Emmanuel Byrd Emmanuel Byrd 6'5" | PF Staley | 2022 State MO 6’8″ Staley: I have been more than impressed with how this young man has continued to get better with each season. His physical growth has also matched the growth in his game. He has been a good rebounder and shot blocker, but his offensive skill set has also emerged. He can make a play off the dribble and get buckets in the post and on rim runs. William Jewell got a potential steal.
B.J. Stewart 6’4″ Lee’s Summit North: This athletic power forward is one of the most impressive rebounders that I’ve seen in quite a while. He has a great motor, a quick second jump and the ability to get out of his area. He had 19 and 18 rebounds in the first two games of the tournament. He’s also a strong finisher inside and he can step out and hit a 3-pointer on occasion.
Eric Calicutt Eric Calicutt 6'6" | SF Miller Career Academy | 2022 State MO 6’6″ Miller Career Academy: The talented power forward had an excellent weekend as he showcased a versatile skill set. In the semifinals against Webster Groves, he showed his skills by knocking down a pair of 3-pointers and his athleticism by throwing down three dunks. He is also a good worker on the boards.
Will Gurley Will Gurley 6'6" | SF John Burroughs | 2022 State MO 6’5″ John Burroughs: A solid power forward who has been an excellent producer during the opening weeks of the season. He established a very nice base in the low post and he has the ability to score with either hands. He also works hard at blocking out for rebounding position and running the court in transition.
