Luke Northweather Luke Northweather 6'9" | PF Blair Oaks | 2022 State MO 6’9″ Blair Oaks: The “Luke of Wardsville” was dominant as he led the Falcons to the championship of the Tri-County Tournament. He scored 23 points in the Falcons’ 68-39 victory over California in the championship game. His ability to score in the low post was evident and he can also step and shoot the 3-pointer. He can also pass the ball and be a secondary ball handler as well.
Caleb Walker Caleb Walker 6'8" | PF Eugene | 2022 State MO 6’8″ Eugene: The Air Force recruit led Eugene to the championship of its own tournament. He scored 21 points in the championship game against Linn, which was a 10-point victory. He has been on a scoring and rebounding rampage during the early part of the season. He can score from inside and out, control the boards and get his teammates buckets with his passing when he faces a double team.
Bryce Hambelton 6’4″ Gainesville: The beefy post player was a force inside in his team’s run to the championship game of the Forsyth Tournament. He uses his size and strength to overpower defenders in the low post. He also has good moves around the basket and a very soft shooting touch. He can also pass the ball well as he draws a lot of attention when he catches the ball.
Nathan Ryan Nathan Ryan 6'2" | SF Troy | 2022 State MO 6’3″ Troy: The solid forward had a strong tournament in leading the Trojans to the championship of their own tournament. He had 15 points and seven rebounds in a victory over DeSmet in the championship game, which gave the Trojans their first Troy Tourney title in 16 years. He is strong with a solid skill set around the basket. He is just coming off a big year in football where he was an All-State receiver on the Trojans state semifinals team. He brings that kind of toughness to the basketball court as well.
Austin Schwebach Austin Schwebach 6'5" | SF Stanberry | 2022 State MO 6’5″ Stanberry: The athletic forward was a walking double-double as he helped lead Stanberry to the championship of the Platte Valley Tournament. He had 14 points and 10 rebounds in the victory over Platte Valley in the finals. While twin brother Tyler was getting things done on the perimeter, Austin was controlling the action in the paint. His athleticism and high motor make him one of the best forwards in the NWMO area.
Kason Mauzey Kason Mauzey 6'5" | PF St. Joe Benton | 2022 State MO 6’6″ St. Joe Benton: The skilled combo forward led Benton to the championship game of the Savannah Tournament. I was impressed with his shot blocking ability with his length and timing. He was blocking 3-pointers with ease and starting the fast break. He is a skilled ball handler and jump shooter with the ability to score in the post.
