Top Titans
Dayton Myers (2022) |6-1 G|
He did most of his offensive production in the second half. Myers scored the first basket of the 3rd quarter with a baseline jumper. Dayton scored four fast points to start the 3rd. Myers also hit a 3-pointer in the game.
Blake Latendresse (2022) |5-11 G|
He showed college range shooting ability. Blake has a nice shot with good elevation. He is a shooter but he can also score smoothly in transition. Blake also had an impressive AND1 finish after contact.
Sage Hanson Sage Hanson 6'8" | SF TGU | 2026 State ND (2026) |6-1 SF|
He led the Titans in scoring with 13 points. The young 8th grader did not look like he was out of his element. Sage is a long and lanky player. He made back-to-back 3-pointers. I liked how Hanson shot faked, attacked with the dribble, and finished in traffic. Sage looked good attacking down the lane, drawing contact, and getting to the line. This 8th grader has loads of potential.
Jake Cargo (2022) |5-10 G/F|
He blocked shots, ran the floor hard, and gave great effort. Jake had some nice passes, he looked good attacking and dishing. I liked his cut and finish in the 3rd quarter. Cargo also hit a 3-pointer. His quick hands deflected passes and tipped the ball away from dribblers.
Ty Schmitt (2024) |5-10 G|
He had an athletic move to the rim and a quick finish at the glass. Schmitt had another bucket around the rim. He moves well without the ball and Ty has good footwork. His best play was with an up-and-under move on the block and he finished it with a kiss off the glass for two points.
Jaxon Nelson (2025) |5-11 G|
He is another young player for the Titans with potential. Jaxon had a nice AND1 finish near the end of the 2nd quarter, he cashed in the FT as well.
Top Blue Jays
Josh Hetzel Josh Hetzel 6'2" | SG Stanley | 2024 State ND (2024) |5-11 G|
He had 13 points in the game with 11 in the 3rd quarter and three triples. Josh had a big second half. Hetzel has impressive ball skills. His handles are nice and he can throw 1-handed passes off the dribble. Josh threw many nice passes and he puts zip on the ball. Hetzel is creative when he gets in the paint. I liked how he pushed the tempo in transition and how he finished. He also showed a smooth floater in transition. When Hetzel grabbed a rebound he looked to push immediately. Josh did a nice job of creating extra possessions by grabbing O-boards. I like this young player, Hetzel is talented.
Jackson Hynek Jackson Hynek 6'2" | SF Stanley | 2024 State ND (2024) |6-2 F|
He finished with 12 points and all of them came from around the basket. Jackson scored the first basket of the game. Hynek showed a quality up-and-under move. Jackson is a nice athlete that has a nose for the ball. He snagged multiple offensive rebounds and he scored many of his points on putbacks. He refused to be boxed out. Hyken showed his athleticism with an O-board tip-in. He can the court hard for an easy transition layup. On the other end of the court, I thought Jackson did a nice job of boxing out. He is another talented underclassman for the Blue Jays.
Laramie Smith (2023) |6-4 C|
He is a long player, a good jumper, and his arms go on for days. Smith excelled at grabbing rebounds on both ends of the floor. He skyed into the air to rip away a few boards. He had a timely basket right as the buzzer sounded to end a quarter. Smith was impressive when he attacked from the elbow and finished athletically in a crowd of defenders. Laramie also proved that he is a shot blocker/disruptor and challenger. Smith finished the game with 7 points.
Tucker Gorder (2023) |6-2 F|
He scored 8 points today. Tucker is a long-armed lefty that moves well. I liked his precision cut and finish off a BLOB play. Gorder showed his shooting range with a deep 3-pointer. He also showed an athletic finger roll finish over the front of the rim.
Trystan Johnson (2022) |5-10 G|
He has a quick and smooth jump shot. Johnson showed quick hands with a tip steal. He showed his strength with an AND1 finish plus the FT. I liked how hard Trystan ran the floor. His turn-around jumper in the 4th helped build the lead and secure the victory.
Tristen Barstad (2024) |6-4 F|
He is another long-player for the Blue Jays. Barstad is a physical player. Tristen looked good at grabbing offensive rebounds. He had a smooth bucket to start the fourth quarter.
Cal Sorenson (2023) |5-11 G|
He showed off his speed with a breakaway layup. Cal gets out and really sprints the floor. Sorenson also showed a super nice pass in transition that he threaded through the defense.
