We’ve already hit every other age level, but there were some impressive 2025 prospects from the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic. In this article I’ll be looking at which freshman flashed their potential last weekend.

Trey Perry Trey Perry 6'0" Lakota East | 2025 OH , 5’10 PG Lakota East 2025: Perry has an elite feel for the game and just makes plays. It was incredibly impressive seeing how he was able to make an impact off the bench and look confident. Perry is a player that Cincy area basketball fans will know sooner rather than later.

DeErick Barber Jr, 5’11 PG Richmond Heights 2025: Barber was named team MVP for Richmond Heights despite being just a freshman. Barber is incredibly quick and made a couple pull-up jumpers. I’m expecting big things out of him and the next Richmond Heights freshman in the years to come.

Dorian Jones, 6’4 SF Richmond Heights 2025: Jones is an elite athlete who despite coming off an injury, was absolutely unreal to watch. Jones has amazing burst and just covers so much ground in each step that he takes when attacking the basket. His injury might’ve held him back in terms of minutes played, but Jones potential was displayed in full force.
