Here are the standout seniors in this category.
Aaron Price Aaron Price 6'7" | PF Liberty | 2022 State NV , Liberty (NV) – Price is an active and productive 6-foot-6 wing who thrives not only as a lane-filling slasher and finisher in transition, but also a guy who can gobble up offensive boards for second-chance points. The senior, who boasts a high-academic educational resume, plays with a high motor and doesn’t shy away from doing the dirty work for a talented Liberty team.
Lee Dort Lee Dort 6'10" | C Greenhill School | 2022 State #67 Nation TX , Greenhill School (TX) – Dort gives me some Charles Bassey vibes in the way he can dominate a game inside, both offensively and defensively. The 6-foot-10, 240-pound Vanderbilt-signee is a mobile and high motor center who looks to dunk everything around the basket with two hands. A lot of what Greenhill does offensively revolves around his ability to overpower defenders for post touches resulting in powerful slams. Defensively, Dort has great timing and instincts as a help defender and shot blocker.
Richard Isaacs, Jr., Coronado (NV) – Isaacs is a relentless scoring guard who plays with fire and unwavering confidence on the offensive end. The Texas Tech-signee has deep three-point range and can pull off the bounce and off the catch needing little space to get his shot off. When he’s not filling up the scoring column, Isaacs is good at getting into the lane and spraying out passes to teammates for open shots.
Ryan Abelman Ryan Abelman 6'4" | SG Bishop Gorman | 2022 State NV , Bishop Gorman (NV) – Abelman is in the conversation as one of the best shooters on the west coast and he lived up to that billing throughout the Tarkanian Classic. The 6-foot-4 Northern Arizona-bound shooting guard finished with 28 points in the Platinum Division championship game and he’s a really tough cover for opposing defenders because of his ability to get his shot off with limited time and space and his off-ball movement to get clean looks from deep.
TJ Caldwell, Faith Family (TX) – Caldwell is an elite transition scoring threat with his combination of explosive athleticism and speed in the open court. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard slashes his way to the basket for power finishes above the rim, but can also bounce into a rhythm three-point shot if a defender sags off of him. The Ole Miss-bound senior showed flashes of becoming an elite perimeter defender, as well, as his measurables lend to him becoming that at the next level.
