Section XI on Long Island is the public school league in Suffolk. Each week we will highlight players from this area. Jordan Cardenas. 6”0. 2022. Bayshore A steady combo guard who excels at the point. He is a slasher who can drill the three. Excellent ball handler who knows the importance of changing speeds. Akwan Roberson. 6”0. 2022. Wyndanch A tough fearless combo guard. Finishes through contact. A stat stuffer. Excellent defender and rebounder for his size. Quick to the basket and can also shoot the three. Moves well without the ball to find open spots. Daniel Blake-Watson. 6”0. 2024. North Babylon Good frame. Runs the floor well. Excellent rebounder who can finish off of putbacks or through contact. Showed a nice floater but can also step out and hit the three ball consistently. Daivon Lofton. 5”6. 2022. North Babylon. Plays much bigger then his actual size. Outstanding rebounder for his size. Seems to find the ball and goes and gets it. Low strong center of gravity when handling the ball. Displayed nice passes in the half court as well as full court look ahead to lead to baskets. Hit deep threes with a hand in his face. Goes to the rim strong but also had a nice pull up in transition. Rashad Key. 6”3. 2022. Copiague This lefty has a good frame. Can get to the rim. Works hard on the boards and can finish around the rim. Exceptional in transition goes strong to the hole. Paul Hinkson 6”0. 2022 Copiague Paul has been a pleasant surprise for Copiague. Takes the ball hard to the rim and can finish. Outstanding shooter from three. Excellent at catch and shoot from beyond the arc.
