Dylan Darling Dylan Darling 6'1" | CG Central Valley | 2022 WA | Central Valley HS 22’
This dude has made it his own personal mission to wake up everyone who has been sleeping on him. This kid put up 53 points shooting 19-20 from the field in the first game of the season. That wasn’t enough because in the second game Dylan FILLED the stat sheet with 46 Points (5 threes) 7 Assists 8 Rebounds 3 Steals shooting 100% from the stripe. I’ve been saying this for two years now…. This kid is a walking bucket. Do you need someone to put the ball in the hoop and be a dog on both ends of the floor? This is your kid!
Trayce Atkins Trayce Atkins 5'10" | PG Ferris | 2022 WA | Ferris HS 22’
In Trayce’s first game of the season, he had 19 points. He was doing whatever he wanted in the first half against Mead. Trayce is so darn quick it is really hard to play one-on-one defense. You need help almost at all times. He had 4 different guys try and guard him and it didn’t matter. Trayce shot 3-4 from outside as well. His jump shot is very much improved from a season ago. Looking to see Trayce have a huge game tomorrow! Stay tuned!
Jayden Stevens Jayden Stevens 6'8" | SF Gonzaga Prep | 2022 State WA | Gonzaga Prep HS 22’
Gonzaga Prep is going to lean on Jayden heavily to create chaos from the free-throw line to the baseline on offense and that is exactly what he did against Walla Walla. Jayden finished the game with 21 points and 10 Rebounds and was just a headache all night for Walla Walla. Jayden creates a lot of pressure on the opposing team when he touches the paint because you have to bring extra defenders. Gonzaga Prep is going to be a strong team this year and Jayden will be playing a huge role in that success.
Maverick Sanders | Mt. Spokane HS 23’
Mt. Spokane got a hidden gem this year when Maverick transferred from Mead this season. In the first game against Maverick’s previous school, he scored 16 points leading his Wildcats to a huge blowout win. Maverick just does so many things that every coach looks for in a player… Cleans up the glass on both ends, wins 50/50 balls, paint production, and is very coachable! This kid is going to lead his team to a great season this year! Stay tuned for Maverick’s continued success!
Jackson Floyd Jackson Floyd 6'0" | PG Gonzaga Prep | 2023 State WA | Gonzaga Prep HS 23’
Being so new to this Gonzaga Prep program I didn’t really know how fast Jackson would settle in and get comfortable, but this first game cleared the air of that for me. Jackson scored 16 points and did it too easy! This kid moves without the ball better than any kid I’ve seen in Spokane. He doesn’t stand in one spot hoping for the ball to come back his way. He moves around makes his defender guard him and keeps the offense moving. Jackson is very unselfish also! He is always looking to get his teammates involved as well as being a great teammate when off the floor. It was a joy to see him standing up cheering for his teammates even when he’s not on the floor. Great character kid who just keeps getting better and better.
