Julien King Julien King 6'3" | CG GRACE Christian | 2023 State NC | 6’3” CG | Grace Christian 2023
While Grace Christian fell to Lake Norman, King did everything he could to keep his team in the game. The 6’3” combo guard is an athletic playmaker who can get downhill and get in the lane at will, he’s excellent on the defensive end as he can sit down and force turnovers and he can make difficult shots in the midrange and at the rim too.
Isaiah Tate Isaiah Tate 6'0" | PG Concord Academy | 2023 State NC | 6’2” PG | Gaston Christian Academy 2023
Tate was big time for Gaston Christian in their win over Trinity Christian, as he controlled the game and made plays for both himself and others and set the tone on both ends of the floor. He’s a true floor general who can handle pressure and get them into sets, he can get in the lane at will where he can score it or make plays for others and he took good shots and was consistent as a scorer with the ball in his hands.
Tre Parker | 6’3” CG | Vertical Academy 2023
Parker had perhaps the best individual performance in Vertical’s loss at the buzzer to CBA, as the Fayetteville native was dynamic in every aspect of the game and showed he’s one of the most exciting players in high school basketball. He’s a super talented guy who has a good handle and is able to create space, he’s an explosive athlete that plays well above the rim with ease and he showed excellent range off the catch and off the bounce. He finished with 37 points and had the place buzzing the whole game.
Mikey Williams | 6’3” CG | Vertical Academy 2023
Williams had himself a good game as well in Vertical’s loss, going for 26 points and making big plays down the stretch for them. The talented 6’3” guard is a good shot maker from multiple levels and he can make contested shots from multiple levels, he is an athletic finisher with good body control and he can get wherever he wants off the bounce to create shots.
Eltramon Smith | 6’8” PF | Vertical Academy 2023
Smith was big for Vertical as their inside presence and his versatility was a big reason they were in the game as he was as consistent as anyone. He manned the paint well and did a good job protecting the rim and rebounding, he was excellent in the paint finishing through contact and getting to the free throw line and he showed good versatility on both ends as well.
Quasim Oden Quasim Oden 6'1" | PG GRACE Christian | 2024 State NC | 6’0” PG | Grace Christian 2024
Oden was really impressive as the youngest player that played for Grace Christian, as he has good tools and upside moving forward. The 6’0” lead guard has a quick first step and good shift off the bounce, he’s a good athlete with a good frame that should fill out and he found ways to make shots and be productive on both ends of the floor.
