Marcelous Phillips Marcelous Phillips 6'5" | PF New Madrid | 2022 State MO 6’5″ New Madrid Central: The athletic power forward had a productive tournament in helping the Eagles to the tournament championship. He scored 22 points in the semifinals against Charleston and added 10 points in the championship game against Cape Central. He plays a blue-collar game, which goes well with his explosive athleticism around the basket. He finishes well inside and he’s an active rebounder. He also hit some key free throws down the stretch in the championship game against Cape Central on Monday night.
Cleo Taylor Cleo Taylor 6'5" | PF Sikeston | 2022 State MO 6’5″ Sikeston: An athletic forward who was very impressive in Monday night’s consolation championship game against Poplar Bluff. He’s an active shot blocker who runs the court in transition with ease. His skill level has improved over the years as he can handle the ball and hit 3-pointers off the catch. He scored a game-high 15 points against Poplar Bluff on Monday night.
Nick Wasilewski Nick Wasilewski 6'6" | PF Jackson | 2022 State MO 6’6″ Jackson:
Cam Harris 6’4″ Cape Girardeau Central: A big-bodied power forward who plays a very physical game around the basket. He’s strong and can move people around when he wants to establish his position around the basket. He’s a solid finisher inside and he also plays good position defense in the post, where he can push opposing players a step or two off of their spot inside.
Quin Hunter 6’5″ Cape Notre Dame: This bouncy forward was a revelation to me during my three days of watching the tournament. He was running and jumping and throwing down alley-oop dunks, which got my attention. He could put the ball on the floor and score on some solid takes to the basket. He was also effective on the offensive boards. He is a consistent double-double.
