Jose Murillo Jose Murillo 6'8" | C Highland | 2022 State NM 6’9 PF Highland 2022 (#5PHNM 2022) (featured image) – The athletic PF picked up right where he left off. He has used his elite R&J ability to dominant the glass, leading the state in rebounding with just over 10 per game. He’s been consistent and efficient pulling down 12 and 9 boards in his two games.
Aaron Mora Aaron Mora 6'6" | PF Hobbs | 2022 State NM 6’6 C Hobbs 2022 (#24PHNM 2022) – The big man from Hobbs has made his presence known. Mora has been productive through 6 games, averaging a double-double. It’s his rebounding ability that we’re interested in. Mora has gotten better with every game, capping his run with a 17 rebound performance over Las Lunas.
Exodus Ayers Exodus Ayers 6'2" | CG La Cueva | 2023 NLG 6’3 CG La Cueva 2023 (#1PHNM 2023) – A bit of a surprise here only because of his size and position, but at this point, nothing the #1 player in our c/o 2023 does surprises me. Ayers has gotten off to a terrific start, showing that he can impact games in a variety of ways including cleaning the glass. The La Cueva star pulled down 12 and 11 boards in his first two games and is averaging over 9 a game for the season.
Zadrick Betancourt 6’1 SF Lovington 2024 – The Lovington sophomore has put together a solid start to the season. Betancourt has had games of 15 and 17 rebounds. Although undersized for the position he still has managed to average over nine boards per game for his squad.
Easton Adair 6’1 SF Clovis Christian 2023 – The undersized forward has been relentless on the glass. He’s not out there to score as much as he is to change the game with his signature skill. Adair has managed to pull down double-figure boards in half his games, en route to averaging exactly 9 boards per game.
Daemon Ely 6’7 C Taos 2023 (#15PHNM 2023) – After a slow start, the big man from Taos has picked it up. The 6’7 post only grabbed a total of 18 boards in his first 3 games. He nearly eclipsed that total for a monster 16 board effort vs Capital in his last outing. He is averaging just under 9 boards per game on the season.
