2023 6-9 Spencer Elliott Spencer Elliott 6'10" | C St. Pius X | 2023 State GA – St. Pius X
In a defensive struggle, it was Spencer Elliott Spencer Elliott 6'10" | C St. Pius X | 2023 State GA who set the tone for the Golden Lions in a 51-41 win. At 6-foot-9, Elliott altered every shot that came his way. On offense, Elliott showed skilled footwork. He had 13 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 8 blocks. Spencer is drawing D-I interest and holds an offer from North Florida.
2024 6-6 Josiah Lawson Josiah Lawson 6'7" | SF Tucker | 2024 State GA – Tucker
Josiah Lawson Josiah Lawson 6'7" | SF Tucker | 2024 State GA turned a lot of heads. He’s a big bodied combo-forward that can play inside and out. He has a well-rounded scoring touch, finding points from the mid-range and low block. Lawson was able to space out opposing big men and take them off the dribble. He uses his strength to absorb contact downhill. Josiah had 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Lawson should be on D-I radars.
2024 6-7 Jayce Nathaniel Jayce Nathaniel 6'7" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ – Lanier
One of the best young forwards in Georgia, Jayce Nathaniel Jayce Nathaniel 6'7" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ has serious upside. He’s mobile, athletic and has a great frame that will continue to pack on lean muscle. Nathaniel has a soft touch, scoring from the mid-range out to the three-point line. He can face-up on the low block or play with power getting to hook shots. Nathaniel finished with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks against a physical veteran Archer team.
2022 6-3 Udochi Osuji – Mt. Pisgah
Only around 6-foot-3, you could fool people by telling them Osuji is 6-foot-6 by the way he plays and how he fills up the box score. The undersized rebounding machine posted 13 points, 18 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks in a 76-71 win over Winder-Barrow. Osuji plays extremely hard, aggressively pursing every rebound. He scores the vast majority of his points on putbacks and doesn’t need plays called for him in order to affect games. Udochi will quickly become a fan favorite and could get on college radars with his hustle.
2023 6-6 Cameron Kelly Cameron Kelly 6'7" | PF Buford | 2023 State GA – Buford
He might not be a household name yet, but Cam Kelly is coming. He’s an athletic super long forward that is a great defender, capable of guarding multiple spots and an expert shot blocker. Kelly isn’t a centerpiece in the offense, instead he is let loose to wreak havoc defensively and control the glass. He had 4 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Kelly could have a breakout senior season scoring the ball more next year and really flourish in college.
2023 6-7 Tahj Johnson Tahj Johnson 6'7" | SF Hart County | 2023 State GA – Hart County
18 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 4 blocks. Johnson has all the tools to become a big-time prospect. He showed flashes of it on Saturday. He’s a great athlete that glides to the basket with long eurosteps. Tahj can shoot the three and scores from the mid-range. His leaping ability and length help him alter shots.
2023 6-5 Gabriel Omoregie – Dacula
Gabe is a strong forward with a wide build. He’s quick off the ground when collecting rebounds. Omoregie uses his shoulders to carve out space and score around the rim. He has a nice touch within 10-feet and can score on turnarounds and fadeaways, kissing the ball off the glass. Omoregie recorded 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
2022 6-5 Jayden Hilliman – Denmark
It was a career day for Jayden Hilliman, pumping in 25 points, 11 rebounds and 1 steal. He was a workhorse inside, battling for position and snatching rebounds. Most of his points came in the paint but Hilliman did step outside to hit a three and drive the ball. His motor and nose for the ball was impressive.
