Desmond White 6’2″ Helias: The talented bucket-getter scored a game-high 34 points in a narrow loss to a talented Bishop Miege team. He displayed his ability to score at all three levels on the big floor of the Mizzou Arena. He continues to raise his profile with each sparkling performance.
BJ Ward 6’0″ Chaminade: The solid point guard scored a team-high 19 points in the Red Devils loss to Father Tolton. He’s an excellent two-way guard who plays stout defense and gets his teammates involved on offense as a facilitator. He uses his strength to penetrate into the lane and can hit a perimeter shot.
Nate Brandt Nate Brandt 6'3" | SG Fatima | 2023 State MO 6’3″ Fatima: The Mid-Mo standout scored 20 points to earn Player of the Game honors in the Comets victory over St. Francis Borgia. He has long distance shooting range and the size and athleticism to attack the basket and score. He also had a highlight reel play when he threw down an alley-oop dunk in the second half that was very impressive.
Josh Reams Josh Reams 6'2" | SG Fulton | 2023 State MO 6’3″ Fulton: The muscular wing player scored 17 points in the Hornets victory over Battle in a late-Friday night game. He looks the part of a middle linebacker in football with his physical frame, but he can light it up from 3-point range with her feathery shooting touch from long distance.
Tay Patrick Tay Patrick 5'8" | PG Battle | 2023 State MO 5’9″ Battle: A talented point guard who has a nice blend of quickness, speed and physical strength, which makes him very difficult to defend. He has a quick first step to get into the lane and he combines it with long-distance shooting ability.
Robert Gray 5’9″ Capital City: The young point guard was selected the Player of the Game after leading the Cavs to a victory over St. Elizabeth. He had 14 points, five rebounds and three assists in the victory. He has good speed and quickness and he excels in the open court.
Aidan Vaught 6’2″ Crane: The athletic shooting guard scored a game-high 32 points in a one-point loss to North Shelby. He’s a versatile guard who knows how to score in a variety of ways. He was very effective in the lane plus he knocked down multiple 3-pointers.
Anthony Shivers 5’6″ Mexico: A quick little point guard who caught my eye during the Bulldogs’ victory over St. Michael the Archangel. He has tremendous speed and he was very aggressive at both ends of the floor. His pace is good and he makes an already fast team play even faster when he’s on the floor.
