He scored 22 points as he showcased his ability to penetrate in the lane while also hitting the 3-pointer. He was equally effective running the point or playing off the ball.
Deuce Roberts Deuce Roberts 6'6" | SG St. Michael | 2022 State MO 6’6 St Michael the Archangel: An impressive shooting guard with athleticism and the ability to score at all three levels. He’s very skilled and he uses his size to his advantage. He had one played where he rumbled down the middle of the lane for a dunk, then he followed up with a feathery 3-pointer from the wing. He has that kind of talent.
Kellen Thames Kellen Thames 6'6" | SG Pattonville | 2022 State MO 6’6 Pattonville: The Saint Louis U. recruit was selected the Player of the Game after the Pirates victory over Rock Bridge. He had 15 points and six rebounds while facing a lot of defensive attention. When his jumper wasn’t falling, he grinded his way to tough buckets inside on drives and offensive putbacks.
Drenin Dinkins Drenin Dinkins 6'0" | PG South Iron | 2022 State MO 6’0 South Iron: The Class 1 standout had a tremendous performance in the Panthers overtime loss to Kankakee (IL). He scored a game-high 42 points as he scored on an assortment of twisting drives and deep 3-pointers. He’s very good at drawing fouls and getting himself to the free throw line.
Takhi Chievous 6’4 Father Tolton: The senior wing had an impressive night in the Trailblazers victory over Chaminade. He has a nice stroke from 3-point range off the catch as well as an one or two dribble move to set up his mid-range jumper.
Zane Hampton 6’2 Pattonville: The senior wing was one of the unsung players of the event. He scored a game high 18 points in the Pirates 53-52 victory over Rock Bridge. He had a perfect shooting night from the field, including making all four of his 3-pointers. He hit the game winner on a Corner 3 in the last minute to break a 50-50 tie.
