ND Class B Power Rankings: Update

The season is underway! The year is young and we have had some high-ranked teams take losses and we have also had some upsets. It is great to have the season rolling. It is only going to get better from here! Below are the PHD Power Rankings. POWER RANKINGS #1 Four Winds/Minnewaukan Record 2-0. The Indians have had two great wins to start the year against two top teams. 4 Winds took down Enderlin 82-79. They also defeated Beulah by a score of 82-67. The Indians have been led by Deng Deng Deng Deng 6'5" | SF Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2024 State ND and Jayden Yankton Jayden Yankton 6'1" | SG Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2022 State ND . These two have been playing like All-Staters. At this point, 4 Winds is the undisputed #1 Team in Class B basketball! 4 Winds does not have any games this week. #2 Hillsboro/Central Valley Record 2-0. The Burros upset Kindred by a score of 45-44. They also had a blowout win over Drayton-Valley-Edinburg. HCV is an athletic team that is led by Gannon Limke Gannon Limke 6'6" | PF Hillsboro/Central Valley | 2022 State ND , Parker Gallagher Parker Gallagher 5'10" | SG Hillsboro/Central Valley | 2022 State ND , and Jacob Brandt Jacob Brandt 6'9" | PF Hillsboro/Central Valley | 2024 State ND . Tomorrow the Burros will have a tough game against Ada-Borup (MN). #3 Kindred Record 1-1. The Vikings lost game 1 against HCV by a score of 45-44. In game 2 they won big over Tri-State 70-26. The Vikings are led by Paul Olson Paul Olson 6'3" | SF Kindred | 2022 State ND , Jaiden Peraza Jaiden Peraza 6'5" | SF Kindred | 2022 State ND , and Max McQuillan Max McQuillan 6'5" | SG Kindred | 2022 State ND . This week Kindred plays their rival Richland, the Vikings should win this one with ease.  #4 Enderlin Record 1-2. The Eagles lost their opener to 4 Winds 82-79. In their next game, they defeated Lisbon in the "Goat Game" by a score of 78-39. On Saturday Enderlin lost to a super good Byron (MN) team 84-68. Enderlin plays the toughest schedule in Class B and they will play many great teams. Gus Hurlburt Gus Hurlburt 6'9" | PF Enderlin | 2022 State ND and Joe Hurlburt Joe Hurlburt 6'11" | PF Enderlin | 2022 State #147 Nation ND are the lead players for the Eagles. This week Enderlin plays a Region-1 dark horse team in Sargent County.  #5 North Border Record 2-0. The Eagles took down NCass 65-54. They also beat Langdon 52-33. The Eagles have been very tough defensively. On offense, they have been led by TJ Cosley TJ Cosley 6'0" | PG North Border | 2023 State ND and Ayden Stainbrook Ayden Stainbrook 6'4" | SF North Border | 2023 State ND who are both putting up 18 a game. Jaxen Johnson Jaxen Johnson 6'5" | PF North Border | 2022 State ND has been dominant on defense. Kyler Moore Kyler Moore 6'1" | SG North Border | 2022 State ND has been an impact player after coming back from his football injury. The young freshman Grant Cosley Grant Cosley 5'9" | SG North Border | 2025 State ND has been tough and has shown he belongs on the big stage. The Eagles are off this week with no games.  #6 Beulah  Record 0-1. The Miners have one game so far. They lost to 4 Winds 82-67. It was a 5 point game with 6 minutes left. The Miners struggled to get stops late and it cost them the game. It was still a nice overall showing for Beulah. Trey Brandt Trey Brandt 6'1" | PG Beulah | 2022 State ND is the best PG in Class B ND. His stats for game 1: 29 pts, 4 reb, 5 asst. Tomorrow they play Oak Grove at Jamestown. #7 Dunseith Record 4-0. The Dragons beat MLS 65-52, Glenburn 84-48, St. John 72-55, and Harvey Wells County 65-57 (OT). Dunseith is an impressive offensive team. The top Dragons are Ethan Morin Ethan Morin 6'2" | SG Dunseith | 2022 State ND , Jalen Poitra Jalen Poitra 6'2" | SG Dunseith | 2022 State ND , and Chad Parisien Jr. On Tuesday the Dragons plat at Rollette. #8 Flasher Record 3-0. The Bulldogs defeated Kidder County 71-46. Next, they beat Grant County/Mott-Regent by a score of 72-52. In their third game, they beat Garrison 72-55. Flasher has been led by brothers Jace Friesz Jace Friesz 6'3" | SF Flasher | 2022 State ND and Javin Friesz Javin Friesz 6'1" | SG Flasher | 2024 State ND . In the Garrison game, Jace had 19 pts and 20 rebs. His younger brother Javin had 29 points on 10-16 shooting! On Tuesday Flasher hosts Center-Stanton. #9 LaMoure/Litchville-Marion Record 2-0. The Loboes beat Sargent County 64-49 in their opening game. In their second game, LLM had a large margin victory over Wyndmere-Lidgerwood. The Loboes are a very disciplined, athletic, and super tough defensive team. Corban Potts Corban Potts 6'3" | PG LaMoure/Litchville-Marion | 2022 State ND is their PG and best player. They also have high talent with Landon Piehl Landon Piehl 6'1" | SG LaMoure/Litchville-Marion | 2022 State ND , Colton Ness Colton Ness 6'2" | SG LaMoure/Litchville-Marion | 2023 State ND , Tate Mart Tate Mart 5'8" | SG LaMoure/Litchville-Marion | 2023 State ND , Max Musland Max Musland 6'3" | SG LaMoure-Litchville/Marion | 2024 State ND , and Carter Bowman Carter Bowman 6'1" | SF LaMoure-Litchville/Marion | 2024 State ND . This week they host Lisbon on Tuesday. #10 Powers Lake Record 3-0. The Ranchers have wins over North-Shore Plaza, Divide County, and Stanley. The Ranchers are a traditional powerhouse in Region 8 as of late. Tyson Enget Tyson Enget 5'11" | PG Powers Lake | 2023 State ND is the best player and big points scorer for Powers Lake. Through 3 games Enget is averaging 23.67 ppg 6 apg and 9 rpg. We will see how good Powers Lake is this week when they go up against a tough Trenton team.
