Cameron Werner (6’7 2023 PF, Racine Case)- Cam was listed at 6’5 as a sophomore, and now comes in at 6’7 as a junior. He has a volleyball background and it shows as he can get off the floor quickly off two feet. That quick burst saw him block 8 shots and pull in 12 rebounds as Case ran away with a win over rivals Racine Park on Friday night. Offensively he’s no slouch either, as the Eagles are able to feed him in the post and he has a couple of simple post moves that he can use effectively to get off a clean look. He showed that he can score with his back to the basket, or fight for offensive boards/put-backs on his way to 10 points in the near triple-double effort.
Tayshawn Bridges Tayshawn Bridges 6'2" | CG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2024 #86 Nation GA (6’2 2024 G, Milwaukee Academy of Science)- In a game that ended up getting called off with 14 minutes to play, Tayshawn had already accumulated 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 steals in a win over Riverside. Tayshawn is such a physical player who can sit in a stance and rip the ball free from opposing guards before going the other way. In the half-court he showed he can get to the basket and withstand contact to finish, while also being able to step back a few feet beyond the arc and hit threes with confidence. Bridges also elevated for a dunk in transition, and nearly threw down a high flying dunk on a drive through the lane.
Davion Hannah (6’6 2025 W, Milwaukee Academy of Science)- The standout freshman is listed at 6’6 on MAS’s roster, and has a ton of potential with that length and his skill-set. In the shortened game against Riverside he finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, showing his ability to contribute in a variety of ways. He’s a high flyer who runs the floor hard in transition to get some open finishes, but he can also create space off the dribble. Davion is a really fluid athlete who changes directions easily and is a lot more coordinated than most players his size at this age. Tons of potential as a prospect moving forward.
Nick Janowski Nick Janowski 6'3" | SG Pewaukee | 2024 State #126 Nation WI (6’4 2024 G, Pewaukee)- Even as a sophomore, Nick ranks among the best isolation scorers in the state because of his ability to create space with just one or two dribbles. In a headline matchup against Menomonee Falls, that’s exactly what Nick did as he put up 22 points (a team high) as his team came away with the win. Whether it’s with a quick step-back jumper or curling off a screen and getting his feet set to fire off a three, Janowski is such a dangerous scorer. It’s hard to imagine just how much he would be putting up each game if he wasn’t playing alongside two Division 2 commits, a high major offered player, and a handful of other talented teammates with Pewaukee.
Steven Clay Steven Clay 6'5" | SG Menomonee Falls | 2022 State #193 Nation WI (6’5 2022 W, Menomonee Falls)- In two games against two of the top teams in the state, Steven came away averaging 21 points and 6.5 rebounds over the two contests. One of the top uncommitted seniors in the state, Steven was simply putting on a mid-range clinic at times. With his long arms, high release, and ability to elevate on his jumper, defenders didn’t stand a chance trying to contest his shot when he got a bit of space. When he wasn’t knocking down shots, Steven was so dangerous trying to stop in transition. He’s such a fluid athlete who can weave in and out of traffic on his way to the rim to finish. Also showed some explosiveness around the basket with a few above-the-rim finishes.
Amari Jedkins Amari Jedkins 6'7" | PF Racine Case | 2022 State WI (6’8 2022 F, Racine Case)- Although I’m sure he’d like to get some of his missed dunk attempts back, Amari impressed on Friday night against Racine Park. The senior forward flashed his ability to attack the basket from the wing, as there aren’t many players 6’5+ who can move with him. Once he gets to the rim he’s explosive enough to throw down a dunk or hang in the air to finish in a variety of ways. Jedkins knocked down a threw and had the highlight of the day with a high flying alley-oop dunk in the rivalry win. He finished with 18 points and went 3-3 from the free throw line on the night.
Danilo Jovanovich Danilo Jovanovich 6'6" | PF Whitnall | 2022 State WI (6’8 2022 F, Whitnall)- Despite losing in the end to Menomonee Falls, Danilo was dominant for Whitnall on Tuesday night. The Miami commit put up 29 points on just 17 shots, pulled in 12 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists to keep his team in it until the end. He’s looked more explosive this year than he did as a junior, which makes him dangerous cutting to the basket or running the floor in transition because he’s now finishing over the top of defenders. His face up game is so skilled because he can shoot over the top of smaller defenders, or use a jab step to create some space to get off a shot over size. Danilo can hurt teams in so many ways as he’s just continued to add to his offensive arsenal.
