Isaiah Crane Isaiah Crane 6'1" | CG Jesuit | 2023 State OR (2023 Jesuit)
Jesuit kicked off the 2021 LSI with a victory and Crane was the man for the Crusaders. The 6-foot guard fearlessly attacked the basket, finishing around the hoop and on soft floaters in the lane. He nailed all seven free throw attempts and ended up with 22 points. We caught up with the junior and will have an update posted soon.
Malik Ross Malik Ross 6'0" | CG Tualatin | 2022 State OR (2022 Tualatin)
The 6A football offensive player of the year is simply a remarkable athlete and his offense on the basketball floor was on display in Tualatin’s easy win over Churchill. He took defenders off the dribble and either finished at the hoop with either hand or used his patented floater to score. He knocked down some perimeter jumpers for good measure, including an open three. Ross finished with 19 points.
Noah Ogoli Noah Ogoli 6'2" | CG Tualatin | 2022 State OR (2022 Tualatin)
As if having Ross wasn’t enough, Ogoli did plenty of damage as well – the most of which using his strong dribble pull-up jumper. He pushed the ball up the floor at every opportunty and did a great job on defense helping to harass Lancers point guard Samaje Morgan Samaje Morgan 5'9" | PG Churchill | 2022 State OR . 17 points on the night for Ogoli.
Winters Grady Winters Grady 6'7" | SF Prolific Prep | 2025 #118 Nation CA-N (2025 Lake Oswego)
It was a blowout and the scoring was relatively balanced amongst the Lakers, but Grady shone brightly. The 6-foot-6 freshman put up one of his best efforts of the season so far with 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting to go along with 5 rebounds.
Luke Brauner (2022 Lake Oswego)
In the games we’ve seen of Lake Oswego so far this season, Brauner has been happy to blend into the background. Against Evergreen, the lefty flirted with a triple double with 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Esyah Pippa-White Esyah Pippa-White 6'2" | PG Gresham | 2023 State OR (2023 Gresham)
Another guy that messed around and almost got a triple double was Pippa-White, who notched 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists against Roosevelt. The 6-foot guard continues to be one of the top players in the state who is capable of balancing getting his own offense going along with setting up teammates.
Beya Kim Beya Kim 6'3" | SF Roosevelt | 2023 State OR (2022 Roosevelt)
While the usual suspects on the Roughriders had solid efforts, it was Kim that really rose to the occasion. The 6-foot-3 junior used his athleticism and motor to really make a difference on the boards and his finishes around the hoop led to what were likely career highs in points (16) and rebounds (15).
Brady Rice Brady Rice 6'2" | SG Beaverton | 2023 State OR (2023 Beaverton)
Perhaps it’s about time we start giving Rice the nickname “Big Shot Brady” because that’s exactly how he delivers in the clutch. The 6-foot-1 junior nailed a huge three and then sank two critical free throws to lead the Beavers to the victory. He finished with 22 points.
Luke Johnson Luke Johnson 6'8" | PF Central Catholic | 2022 WV (2022 Central Catholic)
Central Catholic held a double digit lead going into the fourth quarter and a lot of that had to do with the fact that Johnson was playing a great game. The 6-foot-8 forward was knocking down shots and getting it done around the hoop with a soft touch. He finished with 22 points and 6 rebounds.
Christian Green Christian Green 6'1" | CG Cleveland | 2023 State OR (2023 Cleveland)
Green arguably put up the biggest statline in the first round, recording 23 points and an eye-popping 18 rebounds. The 6-foot-1 junior certainly plays above the rim and did just that not only grabbing defensive boards but also finishing some impressive slams.
Josiah Collins Josiah Collins 6'0" | PG David Douglas | 2022 State OR (2022 David Douglas)
If there’s one guy that seems to consistently deliver points for the Scots so far this year, it’s Collins. The perimeter shot wasn’t clicking but he was tough getting to the hoop on his way to 22 points. He was also extremely active on defense as always, recording 3 blocks and 3 steals.
Nathan Jones Nathan Jones 6'3" | SG Barlow | 2022 State OR (2022 Barlow)
They don’t get much tougher than Jones, who helped lead a balanced Bruins attack to their opening round win over Sherwood. While last year’s 6A field goal percentage leader didn’t quite approach the 70-plus percent from the field, he got some nice buckets aruond the hoop and was physical on the defensive end.
