Culver Academy: vs Bishop Luers 12/14
Cooper Farrall Cooper Farrall 6'5" | SF Culver Academy | 2023 State IN – 6’6 2023 SF: Farrall has been one of the best SFs in the 2023 class this season. Came into this game averaging 21.2 ppg and has consistently been one of the best shooters in the state. Showed off that fluid shooting this game and mixed it up down low a bit too. Also saw some nice defensive plays from him as well. Big fan of Farrall’s overall game. He finished with a team high 17 pts.
Thomas Collins Thomas Collins 6'1" | SG Culver Academy | 2023 State IN – 6’1 2023 SG: Collins had a real impressive game here. Even though he got in foul trouble early he was still able to bounce back with a strong outside shooting performance. He is listed at 6’1, but he looks to be on the taller end with a little lankiness. Had a beautiful play where he did a pump fake at the top of the key then drove it in for easy layup. He finished with 15 pts.
Folabomi Fayemi Folabomi Fayemi 6'4" | PF Culver Academy | 2023 State IN – 6’4 2023 PF: Fayemi is a taller, natural athletic forward. Rebounded very well this game and was very active on the floor. Went after the long rebounds as well. Looked more comfortable around the basket on defense Still a bit raw but is continuing to get better.
Bishop Luers: vs Culver Academy 12/14
Nick Thompson Nick Thompson 6'2" | SG Bishop Luers | 2023 State IN – 6’3 2023 SG: Thompson is an athletic shooting guard that has looked to have gotten bigger in overall size since the last time we saw him. Still has that sharp, explosive quickness and was showing some great slashing ability. Excellent on the rebounds and was going out of his way to get the loose ball. Outside jumper needs a little bit more work but thought he looked pretty good here. He finished with a team high 14 pts.
Isaac Zay Isaac Zay 6'0" | PG Bishop Luers | 2024 IN – 6’0 2024 PG: taller, strong build, good looking shot but it was not connecting: Zay is a taller lead guard that played a little off the ball here. Has a strong build and fairly big frame. Showed a good looking shot but his outside jumper just were not connecting this game. More work on consistency and I think he can be a very reliable combo guard.
Carmel: vs North Central 12/17
Peter Suder Peter Suder 6'5" | SG Carmel | 2022 State #227 Nation IN – 6’5 2022 SG: I have said it before and I will probably say a lot more times but Suder is arguably the most physical shooting guard in the entire state. Thought his defense was very solid here and did not see a whole lot of mistakes when he was the primary ball handler. Displayed some strong baseline drives. Needs to continue to develop his outside jumper and once he add consistency to that, it is going to open up his game even more. He finished with 12 pts.
Sam Orme Sam Orme 6'9" | SF Carmel | 2023 State #196 Nation IN – 6’8 2023 SF: The long and lanky wing was easily the best player on the floor this game. Scored from all three levels and was getting to the basket so easy here. Displayed excellent shot blocking ability as well as he had multiple rejections. Needs to add strength but that skill is 100% there. Lot of high majors are going to continue to want him. He finished with a game high 20 pts.
North Central: vs Carmel 12/17:
Davis Olson Davis Olson 6'0" | SG North Central | 2022 State IN – 6’1 2022 SG: Even though he did not have the best overall night offensively, I thought he was one of the best defenders in the game. Had multiple steals and was causing a few Carmel players to make mistakes with the ball. Hit a huge outside bucket down the stretch which displayed what he is best at with being that spot-up, lights out shooter. Has good size and good overall strength as well. Small schools should be all over him because this guy plays his tail off and can provide outside shooting.
Joey Brown Joey Brown 6'6" | SG North Central | 2023 State #280 Nation IN – 6’5 2023 SG: Brown is an ultra athletic shooting guard that is long and lanky. Had a very quiet 1H but started taking control of the offense in 2H. Outside jumper was not shown all that much this game as he often looked to hammer it inside. Once he got going, however, he was that impact guard we had seen in the past from. Brown finished a team high 14 pts.
Mason Lewis Mason Lewis 5'9" | PG Crispus Attucks | 2024 State IN – 5’9 2024 PG: Lewis is a very short yet quick lead guard. Pretty dynamic with the ball and has the ability to slide through the defense and finish on drives. The 1H is where I thought he looked his best as he ended the half as the top scorer for North Central. Had not seen Lewis play before this game but by the end of it I was impressed and could easily tell why he is one of the best PGs we have in the 2024 class.
