Matt Baur, Sharon, Position F, Class 2023,
Matt helped lead Sharon to a tournament championship. They had a close Overtime win against Fitchburg, and beat waltham in the tournament championship. In the Championship game Matt had 16 points and 8 rebounds. Matt is a Double threat every game, and is also a good three point shooter. Matt Continued his strong start this season, with a standout performances in the tournament.
David Brown JR, ST Marry’s, Class 2023, Position PG,
David Brown JR was named Tournament MVP. He helped lead the St Marry’s Team to the Boverini championship. In the game against a high level Lyn English team David had 13 points, and in the championship game against Lynn Classical he had 20. David is a quick guard, who is a scorer, and also a good passer.
Ali Barry, ST Marry’s, Position PG, class 2022
Ali Barry was named to the all tournament team in the Boverini tournament. Ali was the top scorer in the championship game with 25 points. Ali was on fire from three point range, and had 7 threes in the game. Ali is a skilled guard, with good handles, and a high level three point shooter.
Will Davis, Newton North, Position C, Class 2023, HT 6’8
Will was a big part in Newton North’s Garden City classic tournament championship. In the Championship game Will had 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks. The size of Newton North, with 6’8 Will Davis, and 6’6 Florian Kuechen was too much for Catholic Memorial to handle. Catholic Memorial went to a zone, and after some adjustments Will was able to get open shots down low in the zone. Will also did a great job rebounding, and getting second chance points. Will had 8 points in the second quarter. Will is a strong built, and a paint protector, and is proving to be a force for the Tigers team ranked in the Top 10.
