Let’s look at some standouts…
Daniel Jordan – Cardinal Gibbons
2022 Daniel Jordan played a fantastic game for Cardinal Gibbons. The 5-foot-8 guard made terrific passes off dribble penetration and played great defense. Many of his dimes set up his teammates for open shots on the perimeter. Jordan scored a team-high 15 points with a pair of 3-pointers. He was also clutch down the stretch on the free-throw line. Overall, I think his presence fueled the Chiefs across four quarters. Jordan could easily land at a D3 school.
Marcus Perrier Marcus Perrier 6'4" | SF Cardinal Gibbons | 2025 FL – Cardinal Gibbons
2025 Marcus Perrier Marcus Perrier 6'4" | SF Cardinal Gibbons | 2025 FL looked composed on the court for the Chiefs. The 6-foot-3 forward was active on the glass and scored around the rim. In particular, I liked his work on the offensive glass against bigger opponents. Perrier finished with ten points on the night. He moves well and should only get bigger. Perrier has a bright future in my view.
Matthew Cadogan Matthew Cadogan 6'5" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2022 State FL – St. Thomas Aquinas
I thought Matthew Cadogan Matthew Cadogan 6'5" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2022 State FL played much better in the second half against the Chiefs. The 6-foot-5 guard was much more aggressive and used his size to attack the rim. He has a lot of talent when assertive. Cadogan finished with 15 points. He is committed to Brandeis.
Andrew Akuchie Andrew Akuchie 6'8" | PF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2022 State FL – St. Thomas Aquinas
Rice was in the house for 2022 commit Andrew Akuchie Andrew Akuchie 6'8" | PF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2022 State FL . I thought the 6-foot-8 forward played well at times as the best overall player on the floor. Akuchie is a solid pick and pop player on the perimeter. Against Gibbons, his 3-point shot wasn’t quite on. Therefore, I thought Akuchie had more opportunities to take his defender off the dribble and use his size and length to score at the rim. When he does, Akuchie can be tough to stop. He finished with a team-high 16 points.
