Drenin Dinkins Drenin Dinkins 6'0" | PG South Iron | 2022 State MO 6’0″ South Iron: The 2022 guard was the top scorer during Friday’s games at the Norm Stewart Classic in Columbia. He scored a career-high 42 points in the Panthers’ overtime loss to Kankakee (IL) in the midnight game. He was knocking down 3-pointers, scoring on twisting drives in the lane while also handling the ball against full-court pressure for the entire game.
Desmond White 6’2″ Helias: The 2023 guard scored a game-high 34 points in the Crusaders’ loss to a highly-regarded Bishop Miege (KS) team at the Norm Stewart Classic. Dez kept his team competitive from start to finish with his three-level scoring and deep shooting from 3-point range.
Matt Haefner 6’7″ Lafayette: The 2023 wing had a career night plus come clutch shooting in the Lancers’ 76-74 victory over Francis Howell. He scored a career-high 37 points and hit some clutch 3-pointers, including the game-winner at the buzzer to touch off a big celebration.
Brycen Dean Brycen Dean 6'0" | CG Van Horn | 2022 State MO 6’0″ Van Horn: The 2022 guard scored 22 points to lead Van Horn to a thrilling 68-67 victory over Pembroke Hill. His final three points came on a step-back jumper which he swished just ahead of the buzzer to give his team the big road victory.
Aaron Coffey 6’6″ Lutheran-St. Charles: The 2022 forward scored 17 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the Cougars to a victory over Orchard Farm in the championship game of the Lutheran St. Charles Tournament. It was just one week ago today that Coffey was the starting quarterback on the Cougars’ football team that won the Class 2 state championship against Lamar in Columbia.
Demetrius Barnes 6’2″ Lincoln Academy: The 2022 wing scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Lincoln Academy to a victory Kauffman at the Norm Stewart Classic in Columbia. He was selected the Player of the Game for his efforts. He is a hard-working player who excels at slashing to the basket. He is averaging a near double-double to start the season.
