However, the game would quickly flip in the Bulldogs favor as they scored 32 points in the second quarter to build a 48-23 advantage. Jakar Williams was excellent helping New Haven pull away while Darrion Brooks Darrion Brooks 6'5" | SF New Haven | 2023 State IN capped things off with a big two-hand slam to end the half.
The game would be on cruise control in the second half and sped towards the finish line thanks to a running clock. Williams and Brooks each scored 22 points to lead New Haven to their first victory of the season. The Bulldogs would win 76-44. Wayne fell to 0-3 with the loss.
Despite the defeat, 6’5″ freshman forward Trey Dillard Trey Dillard 6'5" | PF Fort Wayne Wayne | 2025 State IN was very impressive for the Generals. His size and strength make him tough around the basket and he has the skill level to score from the perimeter as well.
