Wayne Christian Senior Connor Batts: This young man can flat out shoot the ball! He does a nice job of always setting his feet, being ready to shoot and getting his shot off before defenders can recover. His shooting is what he does best but we saw some solid passing skills from him throughout the game as well.
Rosewood Sophomore Guard David Lamm: From start to finish he brought a high level of intensity on both ends of the floor . He attacked the basket on offense, not settling for outside shots often. On defense he was solid, making opponents uncomfortable and crashing the boards whenever a shot went up.
Goldsboro Senior Guard Justice Wooten: Made a nice impact on the game in various ways by scoring, rebounding and defending at a solid rate. Down the stretch of this matchup he made some solid plays that won’t necessarily show up in the stat sheet but were valuable plays to help his team get the win.
Rosewood HS Senior Guard Quay Butler: The sharp shooting lefty guard stepped and provided an offensive spark for his team. He caught fire from three point land especially in catch and shoot situations from the corner.
South Johnson Junior Wing Chase Norris: As the tallest player on the team we expected him to make an impact on the boards and that’s exactly what we saw from on both ends of the floor. He found a body to box out whenever the shot went up and he converted on some second chance buckets.
