Jackson Shaw, Needham, Position G, HT 6’0 Class 2024
Jackson has been impressive early this season for the Needham Rockets. Only a sophomore, but Jackson is already showing his leadership on the team. Jackson is very quick off the dribble, and can stop on a dime. Jackson has great finishing skills, and can finish strong with both hands at the rim. Jackson has made some high level finishes this season. Jackson is a playmaker, and does a good job creating his own shot. He also does a good job facilitating and getting his teammates in good position to score. Jackson is a high energy and motor player, proving he will be an impact player for the Rockets for the next few years.
Sam Hughes, Needham, Position F, HT 6’5, Class 2024
Sam is a high impact player for the Rockets. Sam has already been Putting up big numbers early on this season. Sam had 20 points in a game this season against Walpole. Sam has a versatile skill set, and has a good inside and out game. Sam can play multiple positions. At 6’5 Sam can stretch the floor out on the wing with his shooting, and his ability to score off the dribble. On defense Sam fits very well in Needham’s 1-3-1 zone, and forces a lot of turnovers. Sam is high IQ player that impacts the game in many ways.
Florian Kuechen, Newton North, Position F, HT 6’6, class 2022
Florian has been a standout player for the Tigers early on this season. Florian is one of the top uncommitted senior prospects in the Bay State conference. Any college Florian pick he will fit very well on their roster. Florian is a classic European stretch big man. Florian is a high flying above the rim player, who has a long reach, and can be a paint protector. Florian closes out hard and is a tough defender. Florian is definitely one the most improved player I have seen throughout his high school career. Florian has really improved his shooting to become a strong three point shooter, making him a threat from all areas of the floor. Florian had a lot of big plays in Norths win against Newton South, and hit 2 big threes down the stretch. Florian can spot up, attack of the dribble and also score down low. Florian is a player you should know in the Bay state conference.
Max Jones, Natick, Class 2022, Position SF HT 6’4.
In Natick’s big win against Framingham Max had 20 points and 4 rebounds. Max was on fire from three point range against Framingham going 6 for 6. With Natick basketball star Ryan Mela injured, Max has really taken a big step up. Max stretches the floor well, and has a versatile skill set. Max has the game that will translate well to the college level.
