As the season continues to get rolling all across the beautiful state of Idaho, quality matchups are being played in all areas and many teams are beginning to show that they hav e a bright future ahead. Unfortunately, some other teams are already showing that it is time to hit the panic button and there need to be some adjustments made if they hope to make a state championship appearance later this season. Continue reading for a rundown of the best performances from December 1st in Idaho.
Fruitland vs. Nampa: In southwest Idaho, Fruitland was able to snag an impressive victory over Nampa. Fruitland was led by a great performance from Nolan Bower Nolan Bower 6'8" | C Fruitland | 2022 State ID who contributed 21 points and 9 rebounds while also showing glimpses of his great footwork in the post, and his ability to score in a variety of ways against tough defenders. In addition, Jacob Hamann had 15 points and knocked down 4 three-pointers while Eddie Rodriguez added 11 points while scoring a lot of baskets at the rim. For Nampa, Walker Peterson Walker Peterson 5'11" | PG Nampa | 2022 State ID provided a lot of the scoring thanks to his 17 points and Gabe Navarro rounded out the double digit scoring by chipping in 14 points.
West Side vs. North Fremont: This non-conference battle came down to the wire as West Side was barely able to sneak away with a 3 point victory in the final seconds. West Side was led by an 18 point performance from Bryler Shurtliff Bryler Shurtliff 6'1" | SG West Side | 2022 State ID who was able to knock down a plethora of three-pointers using his catch and shoot ability, as well as his ability to shoot off the dribble from way beyond the line. Shurtliff got a lot of help as well from Blaze Brown Blaze Brown 5'10" | PG West Side | 2022 State ID who added 12 points and played relentlessly on the defensive end all night long.
