He didn’t have his best day shooting from the perimeter but that didn’t stop him from attacking the paint to score and remained confident.
Pine Forest HS Sophomore Guard Darris Simmons Darris Simmons 5'10" | SG Pine Forest | 2024 NC : Constantly on the attack to score the ball, he provided a nice amount of offense for his team. He’s a shifty guard that’s understands how to use his ballhandling skills to create space to get his shot off.
New Hanover Senior James Jones: Consistency would be the best way to describe what he’s bringing to his team this season. He’s going to score in double figures on a good shooting percentage pretty much on a nightly basis, which is why we feel that College coaches should be keeping an eye on him. He has the height, shooting ability and overall feel for the game that you like to see.
71st Junior Guard Randy Dockery Randy Dockery 6'2" | CG Seventy-First | 2023 State NC : He came up bigtime for his team down the stretch, knocking down shots and getting after it defensively. The Falcons would win their first-round matchup with PFHS and his sixteen point, five rebound performance was part of the reason why.
Southern Lee Senior Guard Jeremiah Gillard: His team has struggled this season so far, currently sitting at a record of 1-8, but he continues to play hard. Standing at about 5’6, he’s one of the smallest on the court but he doesn’t allow his height to hold him back. He doesn’t hesitate to attack the paint offensively and helped to led his team to a win against FCS.
New Hanover HS Freshman Guard Rodmik Allen Rodmik Allen 5'10" | PG New Hanover | 2025 State NC : It doesn’t take much time to see the potential that this young man has! He carries himself with a level of confidence and court awareness that you don’t normally see from a player that’s just beginning his varsity career but that’s what we saw from him on a regular basis. He’s coming off the bench for a team that is a state championship contender, and he doesn’t try to come in and force plays too often. Getting the team into their offensive sets, defending without fouling and using his speed/quickness to make plays are all things we saw from him. He definitely will be in the mix for one of the top NC prospects in the class of 2025 as long as he continues to progress.
Fayetteville Christian Sophomore Guard Elijah Arzuga: The FCS Warriors have struggled big time this season, but Elijah has been one of the bright spots for his team. Currently averaging over fourteen points per game, he’s the only player on the squad that’s averaging double figures scoring. One of his best games of the year came against Cape Fear HS as he went for twenty-one points off the bench, knocking down shots from all over the court.
South View HS Senior Guard Ce’davion Wimbley: We have seen him score the ball quite a bit over his high school career and he still showed some flashes of that scoring ability throughout the classic. With that being said, his passing/facilitating was probably the most impressive attribute he displayed, coming up with a high amount of assist in the second and third round.
