The Eagles (pictured above) have got off to a strong start, with a current record of 3-0. They beat Omaha Northwest, Omaha Benson, and the North High School Vikings to win the OPS Basketball Jamboree 2021 title. Central has a solid team that has a multitude of talent starting with Loyola Chicago commit Jayden Dawson Jayden Dawson 6'4" | CG Omaha Central | 2022 State NE , who has played as a Division one recruit should. He had numerous dunks, silky smooth jump shots from mid/long-range, and led his team to be crowned OPS Jamboree champions.
DeOmbre Brodie is a 6’0″ senior point guard that plays the game like a true point guard. He has a tight handle on the basketball even in high traffic and plays tough-nosed guard defense. He sealed the game for the OPS Jamboree championship by jumping in the passing lane and stealing a pass for a game-ending layup after the steal. Super impressed watching Deombre run point guard for the eagles.
PJ Davis PJ Davis 6'2" | SG Omaha Central | 2022 State NE is ranked the #1 shooting guard in Class A. He has great size, is 6’3″ in height, and is a solid all-around player. Davis has a sweet left-hand stroke to go along with his skillful finishing ability. If Davis catches a rhythm he’s known to shoot flames from three-point land similar to wildfires. His length and size can be intimidating for opposing guards. He played solid in all three games.
Raheem Briggs is 6’6″ senior who plays forward for the Eagles. He is tall/slim with a muscular build and is the type who did all the physical work down low inside to help his team thrive. Great offensive/defensive rebounder/shot-blocker. Defensively, Briggs matches up well with the opposing offenses lineups no matter what position you have him defend(a nightmare for a smaller guard with shaky ball-handling) Raheem, plays well with his back to the basket and has 3 point range. He’s honestly one of the best players on the market you probably haven’t heard of. He was exciting to observe. If you are a coach looking for a solid small forward, Briggs is a great option.
Keah Paljor is 6’7″ forward that can rebound and push the ball up the floor like a guard. He is a left-handed shooter with three-point range. His height gives him defensive and rebound advantages against smaller guards and forwards. His play forced the defensive to stay aware of where he was which opened up the floor for his teammates.
J’Dyn Bullion J’Dyn Bullion 6'0" | SF Omaha Central | 2023 State NE played an important role for the Eagles in the 44-40 victory. He did a fantastic job of being another physical backbone for the eagles. He is the type of player that helps you have a strength advantage at the forward position because also excels in football. He had an amazing hail mary pass to Jayden Dawson Jayden Dawson 6'4" | CG Omaha Central | 2022 State NE for a highlight dunk with a few seconds left on the clock going into the half (See the video attachment above). He can score, rebound, and defend in a manner that instills more confidence in his peers.
