St. Thomas Aquinas: Jaquan Harris Jaquan Harris 6'4" | PG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2022 State #164 Nation NJ & Adam Silas Adam Silas 6'2" | CG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2022 State NJ
The Trojans won the 2020 GMC Tournament title and are looking to repeat as champions with Harris and Silas running the backcourt. The former is a big point guard prospect who can look over his defenders and score in multiple ways. Silas has a good handle, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finish around the rim. They are both tough on-ball defenders and can run the offense effectively. Harris and Silas are talented guard prospects who are ready to lead St. Thomas Aquinas in 2021-22.
St. Joe’s Metuchen: Ethan Simmon Ethan Simmon 6'4" | SG St. Joe's Metuchen | 2022 State NJ & Amari Campbell Amari Campbell 6'3" | PG St. Joe's Metuchen | 2022 State NJ
The Falcons are a talented team with the guard combination of Simmon, Campbell and Darren Tuck Darren Tuck 6'4" | SG St. Joe's Metuchen | 2022 State NJ . The former is a marksman from deep with a smooth shooting stroke and an ability to knock down triples in bunches. Campbell is a lanky lead guard prospect who can finish around the basket and make plays in the lane. They are both solid defenders and work well together in the back court. St. Joe’s Metuchen have a skilled guard trio that should lead the Falcons deep in the state tournament.
Marlboro: Jack Seidler Jack Seidler 6'5" | SF Marlboro | 2022 State NJ & Jon Spatola
The Mustangs are one of the top teams in the Shore Conference as they return the conference’s top duo. Seidler is at his best attacking the basket as he is a good finisher and can make shots through contact. Spatola is a hard-working lead guard prospect who is tough to contain off the bounce and knock down jumpers from the perimeter. He runs the offense efficiently, while Seidler is an underrated rebounder and passer. Spatola and Seidler are looking to lead Marlboro deep in the state tournament after the Mustangs lost in the sectional final in 2020.
Red Bank Catholic: Cy Arvanitis Cy Arvanitis 6'3" | SG Red Bank Catholic | 2022 State NJ & Alex Bauman Alex Bauman 6'4" | SF Red Bank Catholic | 2022 State NJ
The Caseys are a team to watch in the Shore Conference as they should be led by seniors Arvanitis and Bauman. The former is a sniper from deep as Arvanitis has a quick release on his jumper and deep range. Bauman attacks the basket hard and does not mind drawing contact on his way to the rim. The 6’4 wing has a good handle and makes good decisions with the ball in his hands, while Arvanitis moves well off the ball to free himself for open shots. Sophomores Gio Panzini Gio Panzini 6'5" | SF St. Rose | 2024 State NJ and Zach Meeks Zach Meeks 6'5" | PF Red Bank Catholic | 2024 NJ will be integral parts as well to Red Bank Catholic’s offense, but Arvanitis and Bauman will be the keys to the Caseys’ offense this season.
Colonia: Saivon Pressley Saivon Pressley 6'0" | PG Colonia | 2022 State NJ & Billy Anderson Billy Anderson 6'7" | PF Colonia | 2022 State NJ
The Patriots have been one of the more consistent teams in Group 3 over the past three seasons and that should continue in 2021-22. Pressley is a lightning-quick floor general who can blow by his defender off the bounce and finish around the rim. He is a menace on defense as he has a knack for getting steals and deflections. Anderson is an old school forward with a good touch around the basket and fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Colonia is leaning on Pressley and Anderson to carry the load this season as the Patriots look to return to the sectional final.
