Greensburg 69 vs. Seton Catholic 38
The Pirates were in control of this one from the tip. Their overall size and physicality was too much for the smaller guards of Seton and 6’3″ senior Colin Comer Colin Comer 6'4" | SG Greensburg | 2022 State IN lit it up early to build a comfortable lead. Greensburg led 39-15 at halftime on the back of 16 from Comer.
In the second half, Seton Catholic got 8 points in the third quarter from Braiden Hogg Braiden Hogg 6'1" | PG Richmond | 2024 State IN but they could never cut into the 20+ point deficit. Both Dakota Walters and Brenden Stanley were excellent around the basket in the second half as Greensburg would eventually trigger the running clock. The Pirates moved to 5-2 on the season with an easy 69-38 victory.
Colin Comer Colin Comer 6'4" | SG Greensburg | 2022 State IN led all scorers with 20 points while sitting the majority of the fourth quarter. Dakota Walters added 17 points and 5 rebounds. For Seton Catholic, Dorian Hill Dorian Hill 5'8" Seton Catholic | 2022 IN , Braiden Hogg Braiden Hogg 6'1" | PG Richmond | 2024 State IN , and Mason Harvey Mason Harvey 6'7" | PF Seton Catholic | 2024 State IN each had 8 points.
Richmond 86 vs. Victory College Prep 40
Richmond jumped out to a 19-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game and never looked back. The game would have a running clock for the final 12+ minutes of action as the Red Devils built their lead to over 40 points in the third period.
6’5″ senior forward Stephan Douglas scored a game-high 13 points to lead the balanced scoring attack for Richmond. 6’3″ freshman wing Cedric Horton Cedric Horton 6'4" | SG Richmond | 2025 State #321 Nation IN added 12 points, and 6’1″ freshman guard Mason Carpenter Mason Carpenter 6'2" | PG Richmond | 2025 State IN finished with 11 points. Senior guard Chase Newton also had 11 points for the Red Devils. They are back in action at 7:00 p.m. tonight against Purdue Poly Englewood.
NorthWood 70 Indianapolis Home School 43
For the third straight game to begin the day at the Tiernan Center, this one was never in doubt from the moment it tipped off. NorthWood, ranked #5 in Class 3A by Prep Hoops Indiana, led 24-5 after the first period on their way to a blowout victory.
With another game looming in just a few hours against Bloomington South, the Panthers chose to rest many of their starters for the majority of the second half. Cade Brenner Cade Brenner 6'3" | SG NorthWood | 2023 State IN didn’t play at all after the break while several others sat the fourth quarter. 6’5″ junior wing Ian Raasch would lead NorthWood with 14 points while Cooper Wiens added 11.
Fort Wayne Northrop 49 Lawrenceburg 32
It was Jalen Jackson Jalen Jackson 6'2" | PG Fort Wayne Northrop | 2022 State IN to begin the game for the Burins. The Illinois-Chicago signee scored all of Fort Wayne Northrop’s points in the first quarter as they got out to a 12-9 lead. Eight more points from the senior guard in the second quarter, along with some strong team defense, helped advance Northrop’s advantage to 29-17 at the half.
Jackson Bobo Jackson Bobo 6'8" | PF Lawrenceburg | 2022 State IN scored 7 points in the third period, but Lawrenceburg could never really get over the hump. A three-pointer from the 6’8″ senior forward cut the Tigers deficit to nine points midway through the third and that was as close as it would get. Northrop went on to win by a score of 49-32 to move to 5-3 on the season.
For Northrop, it was Jalen Jackson Jalen Jackson 6'2" | PG Fort Wayne Northrop | 2022 State IN leading all scorers with 26 points. Lawrenceburg was led by Garrett Yoon Garrett Yoon 6'0" | PG Lawrenceburg | 2022 IN who scored 13 points while Jackson Bobo Jackson Bobo 6'8" | PF Lawrenceburg | 2022 State IN added 10.
Bloomington South 48 vs. NorthWood 38
This was the best game of the day at the Bob Wettig Memorial Tournament. Bloomington South held a small advantage through the first quarter and into the second. However, a quick run by Cade Brenner Cade Brenner 6'3" | SG NorthWood | 2023 State IN that including a couple of three-pointers put NorthWood on top for the first time at 23-21 with 3:50 remaining in the half. South eventually answered with a Brock Kincaid Brock Kincaid 6'3" | SG Bloomington South | 2022 State IN three to retake a 26-25 advantage and they would never trail again.
The third quarter was one of runs as the Panthers of Bloomington South began the period on a 9-1 run before the Panthers of NorthWood answered with a 7-0 run of their own. It was just never enough to get over the hump though. Bloomington South would go on to hand NorthWood their first loss of the season, 48-38
Cade Brenner Cade Brenner 6'3" | SG NorthWood | 2023 State IN scored a game-high 20 points in the loss for NorthWood. For Bloomington South, it was Gavin Wisley Gavin Wisley 6'8" | PF Bloomington South | 2023 State IN with 15 points and Brock Kincaid Brock Kincaid 6'3" | SG Bloomington South | 2022 State IN with 14 to lift the Panthers to victory.
Fort Wayne Northrop 69 Central Christian 44
Fort Wayne Northrop got their second win of the evening in convincing fashion with Jalen Jackson Jalen Jackson 6'2" | PG Fort Wayne Northrop | 2022 State IN and company sitting the entire second half to rest for two more games tomorrow. Jackson still led with a team-high 17 points while Devin Campos added 16 points. Campos hit four three-pointers in the opening period to set the tone for the Bruins.
For Central Christian, it was 6’5″ senior forward Christian Woods Christian Woods 6'5" | PF Central Christian Academy | 2022 IN leading the way with 22 points.
