Sean Cusano Sean Cusano 6'7" | SF Hilton Head Prep | 2023 State SC – Hilton Head Prep (pictured on front)
Sean is a new name to the Palmetto State but, not Prep Hoops. Cusano moved down to the Lowcountry this past summer from Virginia. Cusano along and rangy forward was able to finish quite well around the cup this weekend especially with his left-hand. Sean can put the ball on the floor for 2-3 dribbles to the cup from the top of the key. He did a great job of rebounding the ball today on both ends of the floor while keeping it up high. Cusano has a good set of hands and a soft touch around the cup. Sean scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds according to my unofficial stats in a win over Wilson Hall.
Kane Eanes Kane Eanes 6'3" | SG Hilton Head Prep | 2023 State SC – Hilton Head Prep
Kane really likes to pop off screens for open looks on the floor. Eanes moves well without the ball in his hands and always seems to be shot ready to receive the pass. He has the ability to knockdown shots on the perimeter for the Dolphins which opens up the front court game. Eanes came into the weekend averaging 15 ppg. Kane scored 22 points in Day 2 in a victory over Wilson Hall.
Jon David Gardner Jon David Gardner 6'2" | CG Heathwood Hall | 2023 State SC – Heathwood Hall
Gardner has to do a lot for the Highlanders to make some noise. Jon David will take a charge, sacrifice his body for a loose ball and take productive high-quality shots while on the floor. Gardner was the primary ball-handler here this weekend when he wasn’t knocking down short baseline jumpers. He really has filled out some of his frame since last season. Jon David ran on the Grassroots Circuit with Upward Stars Columbia .
Thomas Robertson Thomas Robertson 6'6" | PF Pinewood Prep | 2023 State SC – Pinewood Prep (Summerville)
Thomas was highly effective around the paint using the short jump-hook to finish buckets for the Panthers. Robertson a mover-screener has a nice set of hands does his best work from out 2-4 feet in. Thomas will play with his back to the basket and post up down low. He’s a nice viable 3rd-4th option on this Panthers squad to score the ball.
Luke Wilson Luke Wilson 6'9" | C Augusta Christian | 2023 State GA – Augusta Christian (GA) (#30 pictured on front with Cusano)
Luke really came to play this weekend after the Lions won 3 games in a matter of 3 days including a win over Keenan HS at The Bash. Wilson a left-handed post player carved out space down low and showed a soft set of mitts. Luke played very aggressive and assertive all weekend long down in the paint for the Lions.
Elijah Crawford Elijah Crawford 6'1" | PG Brewster Academy | 2024 State #169 Nation NLG (2024) – Augusta Christian (GA)
Crawford can do it all from the back court with his play. Elijah the #2 ranked player in the 2024 Georgia State Class has a quick shot release and an ability to score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. Elijah showed great body control when going to the cup and a great pull-up mid-range game. Crawford is an absolute bucket getter and GAMER for the Lions.
DJ Shine DJ Shine 6'1" | PG Brewster Academy | 2024 State NLG . (2024) – Augusta Christian (GA)
Mr. Shine really played well this weekend for the Lions. Shine is a strong defender and really can create opportunities on both ends of the floor to score the ball. Nicknamed “DJ” was in the middle of every loose ball, constant hustle plays and taking charges. Shine brought the ball up the floor the majority of the time for the Lions.
Jay Plummer Jay Plummer 6'0" | SG Orangeburg Prep | 2024 State SC (2024) – Orangeburg Prep
Plummer was new name for me on the opening day for the Indians. Plummer scored 22 points vs Pinewood Prep while connecting on five three pointers. Jay has a very unorthodox looking shot to say the least with a low shot release.
