Tommy Giannone Tommy Giannone 6'6" | PF Middletown North | 2022 State NJ , 6’6 SF/PF Middletown North 2022
Giannone made plays all over the floor against Long Branch as he showed off his versatile skillset. The 6’6 forward attacked the basket hard and was able to finish through contact around the rim. Giannone was used to break the press as he used his size and vision to make good passes. He has a good release on his jumper and used his length to alter shots on the defensive end. Giannone is a skilled point forward prospect who will make plays for Middletown North throughout the season.
Peter Noble Peter Noble 6'2" | PG CBA | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 PG CBA 2024
Noble ran the offense effectively for the Colts as they were able to squeak out a win against the hosts. The 6’2 guard shot the ball with confidence from distance and made three-pointers in key spots throughout the game. Noble made tough layups around the basket and was able to break his defender down off the bounce. He got a key steal late in the game and played solid defense throughout. Noble is a talented floor general prospect who will only get better for CBA.
Zack Davis Zack Davis 6'7" | SF Peddie | 2024 State NJ , 6’7 SF Ranney 2024
Davis had a strong opening game of the Buc Classic for the Panthers as he was able to do a lot of damage down low. The 6’7 forward caught almost everything around the basket and made a couple of tough finishes through contact. Davis moved well without the ball as he was able to get open on the baseline with frequency. He showed off a nice touch on his free throws and moved his feet well on the defensive end. Davis is an intriguing forward prospect to watch as he gets more looks in Ranney’s offense.
Chris Venturoso Chris Venturoso 6'3" | SG Lacey | 2023 State NJ , 6’3 SG Lacey 2023
Venturoso had a strong game against Rumson Fair-Haven as he was able to pick his spots effectively during the course of the game. The 6’3 guard has a nice touch on his floater as he made several of them when Lacey was able to beat the press. Venturoso attacked the basket hard and was able to draw contact on his way to the rim. He fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor and made few poor decisions with the ball in his hands. Venturoso is a hard-working guard prospect who is set to have a strong year for Lacey.
Christian Rodriguez, PG Long Branch 2022
Rodriguez was the spark plug for the Green Wave on offense as he did all he could in the opening game. The senior guard used his handle effectively as he got into the lane and make plays. Rodriguez finished nicely around the basket and was unafraid of drawing contact on his way to the rim. He was unafraid to mix it up on defense and did a good job of taking care of the ball. Rodriguez will be counted upon to run Long Branch’s offense effectively as the 2021-22 season moves forward for the Green Wave.
