Uchenna Amene Uchenna Amene 6'2" | PG Detroit Catholic Central | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, Southfield Christian)
Amene is seeing his stock rise early this season, and with performances like yesterday, that should continue. He exploded for 26 points in a dominating 84-24 win against Roeper. Don’t hold his height against him, because his energy on the floor has more than made up for it.
Robert Davis Jr. (2022, SF, Hamtramck)
Davis Jr. is an elite all around athlete and a really tough cover. He utilized excellent body control and a solid mid range game on Sunday. Davis Jr. was Hamtramck’s leading scorer in a 54-52 overtime victory against Canton.
Zachary Kroetsch Zachary Kroetsch 6'2" | PG Croswell-Lexington | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, Coswell-Lexington)
Kroetsch was key in Croswell-Lexington’s win in what was possibly the game of the day. His team battled to a 63-55 win over a tough Brown City team. Kroetsch led the way with 26 points. His straight line speed and shot making ability were tough to contain throughout the game.
Hershel Marion Hershel Marion 6'0" | SG Hamtramck | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, Hamtramck)
I’m going to pat myself on the back because I saw this coming, hence the article below.
Marion continued his excellent start to the season in a win over Canton. He racked up 18 points in the contest and proved to be a player to keep an eye on as the season rolls along.
Gaden Muxlow Gaden Muxlow 6'4" | CG Brown City | 2023 State MI (2023, CG, Brown City)
His Brown City squad may have lost to Croswell-Lexington, but Muxlow’s outing was most definitely a W. He powered his way to a game high 27 points. Muxlow is like an old school linebacker with a lights out 3 pointer. With his strength and shooting ability combined, Muxlow can score from basically anywhere on the floor.
Julian Scott Julian Scott 6'3" | PG Country Day | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Detroit Country Day)
Scotthelped his team earn a 63-53 defeat of Lutheran North. He had 17 points, but that stat alone doesn’t do his game justice. Scott scored at key points when his team really needed buckets. He also provided a steady and poised hand at the point throughout the game.
