Trent Noah Trent Noah 6'7" | SF Harlan County | 2024 State #139 Nation KY , Harlan County – After his Freshman season was ended prematurely with a broken foot, the 6’6 Noah is still getting all the way back to 100% but has been leading the Black Bears in nearly every statistical category. Playing on and off the ball, Trent is averaging 25 points and 10 rebounds per game while shooting 50% overall, 45% from three and 82% from the free throw line.
Dalton Hicks Dalton Hicks 6'2" | PG Fairdale | 2024 State KY , Fairdale – A player who has not been in our rankings previously, expect Dalton to crack the list in the next update. In his Sophomore season, Hicks is averaging 18 points per game and shooting 41% from deep but also doing damage when he attacks the rim and has been getting to the free throw line at a high rate. The Bulldogs are very young but have a couple of nice pieces in the Sophomore class with Hicks and Jacob Tucker Jacob Tucker 6'3" | SG Fairdale | 2024 State KY .
Blake Reed Blake Reed 5'10" | PG Mason County | 2024 KY , Bracken County – It seems like Blake has been playing varsity for a decade now but he’s only a Sophomore and continues to be one of the best small school players in the state as he’s having another monster offensive season. Reed is a tough and skilled guard who can play on or off the ball and is already one of the top scorers in the state, averaging just under 30 points per game. He’s on track to finish with one of the highest scoring careers in KHSAA history.
Max Green Max Green 6'6" | CG Oldham County | 2024 State KY , Oldham County – Green has elevated his game along with getting more of an opportunity for an Oldham team that is usually loaded with veterans. Coming off a 37 point game earlier this week, Max is trying to prove a point this season and taking it out on the opposition. As his game keeps evolving, look for him to start shooting more twos and putting the ball on the floor a little more. Green could also see more playing time at the point guard spot over the next couple of years.
Christian Doerr Christian Doerr 6'3" | SG Evangel Christian | 2024 State KY , Manual – Manual was 9-1 heading into this week as they have been sidelined by a Covid pause. The growth of Doerr’s game and role is a large reason for the early season success for the Crimsons. He leads the team in scoring at 15 per game and has shown he can be a three level scorer who gets to the rim or knocks down open looks from the perimeter. Previously unranked, he’ll be a top 30 or higher 2024 when rankings are updated.
