6’5 F Boston Walker | La Center HS 2025
Walker is already good, but he has a chance to be really good. Already a great athlete with good size at 6’5, Boston showed his ability to handle the ball and make plays on the perimeter. His jumper is still developing, but he has consistent range out to 18ft. He showed he can make those shots off the dribble, too. When he learns how to play hard consistently, his game will take off. Walker is definitely a prospect that coaches need to keep their eye on.
6’3 CG Ethan Mitchell | Kelso HS 2023
Mitchell has such a smooth game. He’s not overly quick but has an explosive first burst when attacking. He showed his shifty handles this weekend keeping defenders off balance; he lived at the rim. He’s sneaky athletic, too. Had the dunk off the day by coming baseline and catching the weak-side defender. His skill set as a whole allows him to impact games in various ways. Underrated passer with good size for the guard spot. Could potentially transition to a PG at the next level. 2023 stock riser.
5’11 SG Merrick Benesch | Astoria HS (OR) 2024
Merrick is one of the best shooters I’ve seen in the 2024 class. Although it’s a bit unorthodox, it’s quick and he doesn’t need a lot of space to get it off. He can heat up quickly, too. He isn’t just a shooter though. Defenders ran him off the line a few times, and he attacked the closeouts and got to his floater which was good to see. He didn’t play with the ball in his hand a lot, but he did show that he can make plays off the dribble during the 1v1 and 3v3 portion of the event.
6’0 SG Lonnie Brown Jr | RA Long HS 2024
Brown had a solid outing at the event. He is a good spot-up shooter and he finds open spots to be available for kick-outs. He made some nice plays off the dribble, too. As his confidence builds, his game will grow.
6’2 SG Ian Sprouffske | Rainier HS 2022
Shooter alert. Sprouffske was the surprise player of the event. He wasn’t on my radar initially, but he was definitely on it by days-end. He has good size for the 2-spot. He showed he can hit the 3 in a variety of ways. He also showed that he can put the ball on the floor and make a play in the open court. An underrated prospect that needs more attention for sure.
