6’10 C Soren Dalan Soren Dalan 6'10" | C W.F West | 2023 State WA | WF West HS 2023
Soren is turning himself into a big-time prospect. I was able to see more of his skillset at the event; his ability to score off the dribble from the mid-post is better than I thought. In the 1v1 games, he kept defenders on his back and got to his spots where he could be effective. Defensively, he moves well; he was able to keep people in front and alter shots at the rim by using his length.
5’9 PG Jamond Harris | RA Long HS 2022
Jamond is one of the most consistent players I’ve seen in Washington. He’s going to defend, make open shots, and snag rebounds that you’d never think he’d get; the event on Saturday was no different. Jamond was one of the best defenders there. His active hands, and ability to read and anticipate, led to a lot of steals off the ball. He plays angles well when defending on the ball, too. Offensively, he hit open shots when he got them, but he wasn’t super aggressive looking for his own shot. He showed that he can play that true floor general role at the next level.
6’1 CG Braydon Olson | Mark Morris HS 2024
Olson was one of the best offensive players at the showcase; he led all players in scoring. Braydon showed his ability as a scorer and did it from all 3 levels. He played with a chip on his shoulder and was in attack mode at the start of the first drill. He has a quick release on his shot and doesn’t need tons of space to get it off. Look for Braydon to have a breakout sophomore season for the monarchs.
6’5 F Kyle Counts Kyle Counts 6'7" | PF Wilsonville | 2024 State OR | Wilsonville HS (OR) 2024
Good size with a solid skill set. Kyle had a nice turnaround jumper during the 5v5 portion. He also battled on the boards, too. In the 1v1 portion, he was forced to use more of his skill set, and he showed a lot of upside. When he decides to be aggressive, he can really impact the game. Looking forward to watching him develop.
5’7 PG David Cano III | Rainier HS 2022
Big time competitor that plays the right way. Although he didn’t score much in 5v5, he impacted the games for his team with his energy and facilitation. He got guys the ball in the spots they needed, and he took care of the ball. He also showed he’s a capable shooter from deep; he had a deep 3 near the volleyball line that hit nothing but net.
