Ladji Dembele, 6’8 PF St. Benedict’s 2023
The Grey Bees are always one of the top teams in the Garden State and they have a loaded frontcourt, including Dembele. The 6’8 forward runs the floor hard, setting himself up for easy dunks in transition. Dembele fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and is tough to keep off the glass. He uses his athleticism to swat shots on defense and is a solid post defender. Dembele is an athletic forward prospect who should have a big debut season for St. Benedict’s.
Emile Johnson, 6’10 PF/C Quality Academy Prep 2023
Johnson is one of the more intriguing prospects to watch in New Jersey due to his skillset. The lanky 6’10 forward is one of the top shot-blockers in the class with his combination of length and athleticism. Johnson has shown the potential to be a modern day big as he can knock down open jumpers on the perimeter. He has a nice touch around the basket and skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Johnson is a big man prospect to watch as he gets to show off his ability throughout the year.
Anthony Dunbar, 6’3 SG Pioneer Academy 2022
Dunbar is a name to watch in the Garden State as he is able to impact the game in multiple ways. The 6’3 wing is a big-time athlete who is capable of making plays above the rim. Dunbar attacks the basket hard and does not mind drawing contact. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and has the athleticism to defend multiple positions on the floor. Dunbar is an athletic, two-way wing who is in store for a big 2021-22 season.
Guy Fauntleroy Guy Fauntleroy 6'0" | PG Olympus Prep | 2022 State NJ , 5’10 PG Olympus Prep 2022
Fauntleroy is doing a post-grad season with Olympus Prep, but that does not take away his talent. The Austin Peay commit is lightning-quick with the ball in his hands as he knows how to get by his defender and finish around the basket. Fauntleroy is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and knock down jumpers from distance. He knows how to get his teammates involved in the half court and moves his feet on the defensive on the defensive end. Fauntleroy is a talented floor general who will lead Olympus Prep this season.
Korbyn Samuels, 6’3 SG Patrick School 2023
Samuels is in line for a strong 2021-22 season as he will play a key role for the Celtics this year. The 6’3 wing is at his best attacking the basket and can draw contact. Samuels is a solid passer as he makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and moves well off the ball. He is an underrated rebounder and has the athleticism to defend multiple positions on the floor. Samuels provides the Patrick School with a talented, two-way wing prospect who should provide a bit of depth and scoring on the perimeter.
