Continue ReadingWith the recent rankings release for the 2023 class we have selected 4 players from the Treasure Coast area that should be viewed as “on the radar” to watch for this upcoming season. The 2023 class is an already loaded class but these 4 guards should make some noise during their upcoming High School season and then on the Travel circuit. These guards share a lot of attributes in common with one another. Let’s take a deeper look:
Cam Insalaco Cam Insalaco 6'2" | PG Martin County | 2023 FL 6’0 PG – Martin County High School – Cam should have a big Junior season playing on one of the best teams in Florida. Cam plays the game with high intensity and gets better every time I see him play. Cam gets to the rim with ease thanks to a very quick first step and is consistent with his outside shooting ability. Cam goes hard on both ends of the court and is one of the best guards in the area for his 2023 class. I am excited to watch Cam and this team play this upcoming season.
Jacoby Parson Jacoby Parson 6'2" | PG Treasure Coast | 2023 FL 6’2 G – Treasure Coast High School – The potential for this young man is off the charts as he is one of those freak athletes that can show up to a park or local gym and takeover the game. Coby as he goes by has an exciting style of play and his athleticism is off the charts. Coby is the definition of a slasher and can score points in a hurry when needed. Coby plays with a nonstop motor and is always improving his outside shot. I really believe Coby will quickly move up the Prep Hoops rankings with a strong upcoming season ahead.
Joshua Williams Joshua Williams 5'11" | PG Fort Pierce Central | 2023 FL 5’11 G – Fort Pierce Central High School – Josh is always one of the hardest workers in the gym and is always putting in work. Josh understands what it takes to get to the next level and is focussed on doing whatever it takes to make it to the College level. Josh has a great attitude and is the type of player you want on your team. He is always in attack mode on offense and gives you everything he has on the defensive side of the floor. I am excited to see what Josh can do for his team this upcoming season.
Darious Moore Darious Moore 5'11" | PG Morningside | 2023 FL Jr 5’11 G – Morningside Academy – DJ as he goes by can get hot in a hurry from beyond the arc and plays with a high level of energy every possession. DJ is another one who lives in the gym and is always looking to improve his overall game. DJ recently transferred to Morningside Academy which I feel is a great move for him due to their uptempo style of play and the solid coaching staff they have. I believe this could be a breakout season for DJ as he continues to add balance to his overall game and adds more combination moves to shake off defenders and get to the basket. Morningside has a strong group of players to build around and should have a very solid upcoming season.
