Continue ReadingThe Western Pennsylvania class of 2022 will be making a “big splash” this season on the high school scene. There is a great number of talented individuals who have the ability and opportunities to play at the collegiate level. Some of these young men have already received offers or have made commitments to continue their basketball careers on a college campus. This season will start with a promising cast of basketball talent loaded throughout the Pittsburgh region. While most of these kids played AAU basketball this past spring and summer, they have been “chomping at the bit” for the upcoming high school season to showcase their skills to the local media.
Known for its football, Western PA has begun to assert itself as a basketball “hotbed” as well. Many college scouts and coaches have been attending a variety of open gyms, practices, scrimmages, and games to recruit the local talent for their collegiate programs. After speaking with a good amount of these gentlemen they all seem to tell me the same statement: “There is a ton of hidden basketball talent on the court in the Pittsburgh area, it just needs to be promoted.” This is where services like Prep Hoops can help assist these young men to achieve their goals of playing at the next level with our coverage of High School and AAU games, as well as Team Camps, Elite Camps, and Showcases.
With high school coaches, college coaches, and scouting services all working together we can build a brand that will be unmatched in Western Pennsylvania to provide better opportunities for student-athletes. The continued communication, film study, and statistical breakdowns create a wealth of information that needs to be shared among all parties to successfully promote these talented young basketball players. The list that follows will give an idea of the top performers on the hardwood this high school season. Look for these boys to be not only top players in our area, but high level players throughout the entire state of Pennsylvania this winter.
