I hope you are having a great day enjoying some great food, family, and yes, of course, a little bit of basketball. Indiana High School Basketball takes a quick break on Thanksgiving before diving into a full weekend slate. Most teams have a game under their belt at this point having tipped off on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Since we have a little break in the action, let’s take a look back at some of the top performers from the first three nights of the high school season.
- Cooper Farrall Cooper Farrall 6'5" | SF Culver Academy | 2023 State IN (Culver Academy 2023) scored 28 points in their opening night win over Indianapolis HomeSchool. The 6’6″ wing should have a huge season for the Eagles and likely will continue to attract more and more attention from college coaches at all levels.
- Isaac Andrews Isaac Andrews 6'1" | SG Wapahani | 2024 State IN (Wapahani H.S. 2024) and his backcourt running mate Aidan Franks Aidan Franks 6'2" | SG Wapahani | 2023 State IN (Wapahani H.S. 2023) were excellent in their 76-48 win over Southwood. Andrews flirted with a triple-double scoring 29 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Franks added 21 points and 5 assists of his own. They are a dynamic backcourt at the Class 2A level.
- Jalen Jackson Jalen Jackson 6'2" | PG Fort Wayne Northrop | 2022 State IN (Fort Wayne Northrop H.S. 2022) scored 32 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in his debut with the Bruins. The Illinois-Chicago commit led Northrop to a 59-45 win over DeKalb on Wednesday night.
- Joe Reidy Joe Reidy 6'7" | SF Woodlan | 2022 State IN (Woodlan H.S. 2022) had arguably the most impressive stat line so far putting up 37 points and 17 rebounds in a 67-65 win over New Haven. Expect to see the senior get some additional DII/NAIA offers as his season rolls on.
- Ajani Washington Ajani Washington 6'2" | SG New Haven | 2024 State IN (Fort Wayne Concordia H.S. 2024) has the early lead in terms of scoring with a 40-point performance in a 71-67 loss to Class 3A powerhouse Leo. Washington his nine three-pointers on his way to a career-high night. This likely won’t be the last 40-point outburst for the explosive sophomore guard.
- Rounding out the big scoring performances in the Fort Wayne area, Mr. Basketball candidate Fletcher Loyer Fletcher Loyer 6'4" | SG Homestead | 2022 State #108 Nation IN scored 31 of his team’s 50 points in a win over Huntington North. Strong start to the season for the future Purdue Boilermaker.
