These players may only be in their first year of high school, but each one of them has something special to offer their respective teams. If these kids are as special as I believe they are, then this is going to be a fun winter of basketball.

Starting us off is the top ranked player of the 2025 class, Davies guard Mason Klabo Mason Klabo 6'2" | PG Fargo Davies | 2025 State #240 Nation ND . As an eighth grader the budding starts received solid varsity minutes and wasted no time by impressing with a lethal jump shot, great court vision, and quick hands on defense. There is no doubt that once it’s all said and done, Mason will be remembered amongst the Eagle greats.

Its never surprising to see the name Sem at the top of a rankings list, and this is no exception as we have Fargo North guard Matthew Sem Matthew Sem 6'1" | SG Fargo North | 2025 State ND . A player who to no one’s shock is gifted athletically, can shoot the ball from three, and is a pest on defense. Be prepared to hear a lot more about this young prospect over the coming years.

Galloping in for the Red River Roughriders is physically imposing guard Pearce Parks Pearce Parks 6'2" | SG Grand Forks Red River | 2025 State ND . A player who has flashed impeccable body control, a nice stroke from the mid range, and impressive athletics. Just like his older brother who is a senior on this years team, I expect Pearce to be a Grand Forks favorite for some time.

With the exciting young group that North has, I expect them to be a topic of conversation for some time.

This Mustang is a beast on the boards, can send your shot flying into the stands, and is an athletic six foot five inches tall. As just a freshman Tommy has loads of potential, and it will be exciting to see his game grow as he progresses.
