Calvin Little Calvin Little 6'2" | PG Garfield Heights | 2024 State OH , 6’2 PG Saint Ignatius 2024: Little is one of the elite point guard athletes in the state and gets better every time I see him. Little has excellent burst and change of pace and gets where he wants to on the court. Little also has an excellent left hand which he uses to finish around the basket and make passes. One major flaw in Little’s game, he is a zero threat from the outside. Little doesn’t even look to shoot from behind the 3-point line, I’d like to see him at least start to attempt to score from that range even if the results aren’t great immediately.
Matt Ellis, 5’10 CG Saint Ignatius 2024: Ellis isn’t one of the more highly regarded 2024 prospects on Ignatius, but showed some nice scoring flashes in this one. Despite being a limited athlete, Ellis was making some plays against Indy Cathedral, one of the top teams in the Midwest. I’ll certainly be following Ellis as I expect him to be a major contributor next season at the varsity level, but will be a key role piece in the 2021-22 season.
Jeb Bischoff Jeb Bischoff 6'0" | SG Hilliard Bradley | 2024 State OH , 5’11 SG Hilliard Bradley 2024: One of the elite role players in the state, Bischoff plays well beyond his age. A Sophomore who played key minutes as a freshman and already has a very high IQ and understanding of his fit on a team. Bischoff runs off screens and looks to either fire off a quick release shot or attack a closeout. Bischoff is also maturing physically as he’s looking more defined. I expect Bischoff to be one of the more impactful underclassmen in central Ohio this season.
Ben Menker Ben Menker 6'5" | SF Mason | 2024 State OH , 6’4 SF Mason 2024: Menker struggled on Friday against Tri-Village but was awesome in the Saturday contest against Hilliard Bradley. Despite being just a Sophomore, Menker is the primary creator for Mason and was even given some isolation opportunities. Menker is a developed athlete for his age and does a good job playing in different systems as Mason and Midwest Basketball Club play at very different paces.
