Section 5AAAA Rundown
As if this section needed another powerhouse…. The unbalanced sections in the state of Minnesota became even more unbalanced when the 5AAAA monster added Maple Grove who had won six straight Section 8AAAA championships. Now the Crimson enter the 5AAAA fray. Imagine what this would have been like if Champlin Park wasn’t starting over with a rebuild for the first time in the NHR era?
Park Center is your heavy favorite. They are the most talented Class AAAA team, they are the deepest Class AAAA team, and they are going to be the most potent two way team. The overall best team in the state this year will likely come down to those Park Center/Totino Grace league battles.
But the Pirates have to figure out how get through this section. They will likely be a 1/2 seed so the first game will be simple but facing the likes of Maple Grove or a Spring Lake Park in the second round game? That’s a top ten likely team for a likely top seed! Spring Lake Park is going to be 20 win tough, you can book that (assuming they are healthy of course). Logan Kinsey Logan Kinsey 6'6" | PF Spring Lake Park | 2022 State MN is about to emerge as a star, if he hasn’t already. Then you have Mounds View and Osseo. The Stangs have their best two players back from last year’s top ten squad and Osseo’s been pointing to this season for four years!
