The countless hours spent in the gym do, however, allow point guards to have a much greater grasp on the flow of the game and the great ability to make reads and adjust on the fly. I will never take a great point guard for granted and I believe that they truly embody the great game of basketball in its entirety. Payton Beck Payton Beck 5'6" | PG Oakley | 2022 State ID , Oakley: Payton is a high level talent who has not been gifted with lots of height. However, Beck makes up for his lack of stature by making great reads on the floor and commanding the offense as a whole. He does not back down from tough defenders or bigger opponents and he is frequently in the pain diving on loose balls or attempting to snag any rebounds that may bounce his way. Watch for Payton to have a great season while also showing why he is one of the most underrated point guards in the state.
Chayce Low Chayce Low 5'10" | PG North Gem | 2022 State ID , North Gem: Low is another prime example of an underrated point guard who makes up for his lack of height by playing with lots of heart and determination. Low has a great set of fundamental skills that he relies on in order to play at a really high level. Low shoots the ball really well and has a great understanding of how to be ready to catch and shoot as soon as the ball is swung his direction. Watch for Chayce to have a strong showing this season.
Wade Zenner Wade Zenner 5'10" | PG Timberline | 2022 State ID , Timberline: Another member of the seemingly endless Zenner family, Wade has shown an ability to be a quality point guard, just like his brothers. Zenner plays with a smooth demeanor and he is consistently and constantly in the right place at the right time. He passes the ball really well and has also developed a great jump shot recently to compliment his skills. Watch for Zenner to rise in the rankings during the upcoming basketball season.
