JD Palm 6’9 PF/SF Dothan 2025
JD Plam probably has the most potential in the state. As a 6’9 eighth-grader, he displayed glimpses of guard skills with a good handle for his size, ability to create space on the perimeter, and his comfort with catching and shooting from the perimeter. He already uses his size well on the defensive end. In addition, he shows discipline and awareness by remaining vertical when challenging shots at the rim, forcing players to finish over his impressive wingspan. It’ll be interesting to see how Palm develops throughout the season and make progress in his recruitment.
Dexter Smith 6’3 SF Lee 2022
Dexter Smith is a jack of all trades and is an excellent running mate for Jacari Lane Jacari Lane 5'11" | NA lbs | PG Lee-Huntsville | 2022 State #NA Nation AL with his ability to play on and off-ball as a slashing playmaker. Smith does a good job of picking his spots and attacking within the flow of the offense. In addition, he’s a solid defender that stays in front and contributes as a rebounder at a high level for his position.
Cade Pringle 6’4 SF/PF Thompson 2023
Though Pringle’s frame looks more like a linebacker than a small forward, he showed he had game and an ability to do whatever’s needed on the court. Pringle uses his strength to crash the boards, set solid picks, and impose his will on smaller defenders when rolling to the basket. As a playmaker, he created shots for others in short-roll situations. Smith showed an ability to be a solid stationary shooter and shoot off the catch. Smith’s skills are diverse defensively as well. He did an excellent job of staying in front of guards and defending the post.
Tiwan Hardy Jr. 6’3 SG/SF Clay Chalkville 2023
Hardy Jr is a smooth operator on the court with a quick release and effortless form on his jumper. Throughout the week, Jr. showed a nice handle that allowed him to attack overzealous defenders and get to his mid-range game where he has touch and accuracy. He does an excellent job of taking what the defense gives him and capitalizing off of it. Defensively he showed a willingness to get scrappy and use his length to disrupt drives and passing lanes by swiping and causing deflections and steals.
Terell Williams Jr. 6’6 Shades Valley
Willams Jr is a high-energy forward that makes impact plays on both ends of the ball. He uses his size tremendously. He is constantly affecting shots at the rim and finishing off defensive possessions with solid rebounds. Willams keeps this same energy when capitalizing on second-chance opportunities, finishing lobs, and running in transition to get efficient points.
