Over the last month, we’ve sent out questionnaires to all of the top teams across the state, to get as much information for our month-long preview series as possible to get you ready for this season. Who are the top players, who could have a break out year, who will be the top contenders when March rolls around and we’re all “gold ball chasing”? Stay tuned to Prep Hoops Oklahoma throughout the month for more individual team previews and more preview content that is on the way!</p> <hr /> <h3 style="text-align: center;"><strong>SAND SPRINGS SANDITES</strong></h3> <hr /> <h4><strong>OVERVIEW</strong></h4> <p>The Sandites of Charles Page High School retake the court this season after finishing 2021 season below-the-trend with a 7-11 record, looking to return to its previous excellence under the leadership of coach Eric Savage.</p> <p>Savage's Sandites will compete in the Memorial Veteran's Arena Invitational and the Catoosa Port City Classic, both tournaments which have historically hosted the best talent in the 918 area code, and both of which will provide opportunities for the Sandites to compete with similar talent.</p> <p>Jason Clark, Cale Askew and others return for the Sandites ahead of the 2022 season.</p> <hr /> <h3><strong>KEY RETURNERS</strong></h3> <p><strong>Jason Clark</strong>, Sr. G</p> <ul style="list-style-type: square;"> <li>7.6p in 2021</li> </ul> <p>The westside king of the floater, Clark returns after netting over 7 points-a-game in 2021, with those numbers projected to rise as he will be Savage's leading returning scorer.</p> <p>A slithery ball-handler whose aforementioned floater is his sharpest go-to move, Clark can be a spark plug for the Sandites this season with his ability to draw defenders to him and dish the ball to open shooters.</p> <p><strong>Cale Askew</strong>, Sr. F</p> <ul style="list-style-type: square;"> <li>2p in 2021</li> </ul> <p>Askew, who stars on both ends of the floor for the Sandites, could often be the beneficiary of a Clark pass.
